Your precious cargo can rest safely while traveling in the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Infant Car Seat in Apricot which provides the added security of Side Impact Protection. The seat newly designed for babies up to 30 pounds or 30 inches has an exclusive Comfort Dry pad designed to keep baby safe and dry. The extra wide safety padded wings add even more protection to baby's head. Parents can use the Primo Viaggio SIP with or without the base and it is safety tested for use in automobiles as well as airplanes. The seat locks into the base of most Peg Perego strollers and is available to match every new Peg Perego stroller collection. This seat is easy to use with one hand adjustment of the 5 point restraint belt system as well as an all new quick release buckle. The Primo Viaggio also offers a one hand release from the base or stroller. The hood and the handle are both adjustable. Peg Perego's Primo Viaggio meets all NHTSA standards.

I have used 2 graco carseats before purchasing the peg perego carseat. they were 1/2 the price of the peg perego but when I would go to take my baby out of the car and noticed her head was never supported. I had to roll up blankets to try to keep her head from flopping around. finally, I bought the Peg-Perego car seat and I felt that she was so much safer. yes, it is the most expensive but you can't put a price on you childs safty!!! I am a tiny woman and the peg perego is a bit heavier than the others. however the base is easy to install and remove! the seat its self is also easy to install and remove. hope this helps!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bought this for grandchild and am impressed. Easily attaches to the Skate system chassis. Our baby is not born yet so borrowed one from a friend for a test drive and the baby looked very comfortable and fell asleep within minutes. Looks very smart and upscale. I did mark this car seat as heavy but not sure if that is really a con...would I want to put my grandson in a light car seat?
