The User Manual is hard to follow, so I looked up Youtube videos produced by the manufacturer. After viewing, I realized this product is made for smaller framed and/or thin persons. Fat, overweight, obese, heavy, wide individuals will not be able to use this properly and will have moderate back pain and find the shoulder straps rubbing their underarms raw. If I was thin, I KNOW I would have LOVED this Carrier... but, a las, I am not. I'm not huge either, but I'm still too big for this Carrier. Wish they would mention that in the description, that it doesn't work [*], or make a different model for heavier-set people.

The Ergo baby carrier is the best out there when ever my baby gets fussing in the Ergo he goes and he is happy as pie and goes right to sleep. As you may know a baby should NEVER ride forward facing in a "crotch dangler" style carrier, like a Baby Bjorn, so this is perfect! Your baby should always be supported by the back of their legs in the sitting position to avoid hip dysplasia and back problems which the Ergo does. I feel so bad when I see babies trying to sleep in those forward facing carriers, they can't cuddle into their Mom, and their poor head is just bobbling around. The color was better than expected and the materials were amazing and high quality! TIP: If your baby is too big for the infant insert and still short put a rolled blanket under their bum to prop them up a bit. The best part of this carrier is that you can resell it for almost full value and it gets better as they get bigger! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that if you are around 5 ft or shorter you should go for a Beco Carrier, same idea, but better for you shorties :)

This carrier is the best there is. I also have the Baby Bjorn, but never use it anymore since getting the Ergo. I love how this can be used on the back, and the fit is so comfortable!! It is a bit tricky getting baby on the back by yourself, but I was able to manage once I got the hang out it. My daughter loves it. If the baby falls asleep in it, it is also easy putting the baby down with the carrier, without waking them up.

I use my Ergo for walks, sporting events, grocery shopping & housework. It has saved my back so many times by evenly distributing my son's weight on my hips. I'm 5'1 & highly recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this product based on reviews. I am very particular when it comes to ergonomics and this carrier does take all the pressure off of your back. However, it is not easy to use by yourself at all. I always have to have my husband help me put it on. Despite this it worked great when my daughter was a newborn. Now she is four months and wants to face forward but it is very wide between the legs and she doesn't like it. We got the Baby Bjorn and it is easy to use by yourself as well easily accomodates face forwards and backwards.

This is ideal for hikes and travel or anytime you need to have hands free or walking distance. Great for the mall since strollers are hard to get around isles. I even grocery shop with it.

I received a Baby Bjorn carrier for my shower and initially liked it. I used it with my newborn daughter until I heard that that brand wasn't the best for my baby. She bounced around alot and it hurt my neck, shoulders and back. I got this carrier yesterday and already love it! My baby seems more comfortable. I also got the infant insert. She hardly bounces around at all and I have no pain!! It's totally worth the money. I'm throwing my other carrier away!

I love the ERGObaby carrier. It is very easy to use and comfortable. We picked out the green river rock design because it was pretty neutral. Great product.

I tried a couple different baby slings after reading about the profound benefits being "worn" seems to have on babies. One was too complicated to put on for my husband to want to use and they both put a lot of pressure on my shoulders, which tend to go out of place. that being said, the Ergobaby is sooooo comfortable for all of us to use. The front way is easy, it took a few minutes to figure out but I was able to put baby in the hip carry, and I will probably wait till she is a bit bigger for the backpack way. The built in hood is genius. I am glad I saw the recommendation from another reviewer and purchased the teether strap cover, cause she immediately turns her head to the side and starts sucking on them. I might get the extra pouch because although it has a pocket, its right against baby's back so I dont want to put hard bulky things like keys in it.
