The Fisher-Price Barbie Grow With Me 1, 2, 3 Roller Skates help your child learn to skate with confidence. Three learn-to-skate stages help your child gradually progress her way into being a skating pro. Stage one will lock the wheels so your child has the ability to skate-walk, and she will slowly learn to maintain her balance while in the skates. Once she is confident with this stage, advance to stage two, where she has the ability to roll forward to increase movement. Once this stage is complete, move on to stage three, where she can roll forward and back. This last stage gives your child full mobility so she can skate with confidence. The skates are size adjustable and feature easy-adjust hook-and-loop fasteners so you can change the size of the skate to comfortably fit your growing child's feet.

Features
Stage one
Stage one of these skates locks the wheels so your child has the ability to skate-walk. This first stage gives your child the confidence she needs to move on to the other, more advanced stages.
Stage two
Stage two allows your child to roll forward while using these skates. The slow progression from no movement to full movement starts here, and your child will quickly be on her way to skating anywhere she wants once stage three is implemented.
Stage three
The last stage allows your child to roll forward and back so she can experience full motion while using these skates. She can move in any direction she wants at this stage.
Size adjustable
The size of these skates can be adjusted at any time so your child can use them for years to come. The durable quad wheels and front stop ensure that they are made to last. The easy-adjust hook-and-loop fasteners provide a comfortable fit every time your child uses the skates.

The Fisher-Price Grow with Me Barbie Quad Roller Skates are a great pair of first roller skates for your little girl. They include the "1-2-3" learn-to-skate feature. Start with setting #1 so beginners can walk in the skates with one wheel locked. As confidence and ability increase, advance to level #2, where the adjustment wheel rolls forward but not back. Then it's on to #3 for freewheeling fun! The rear wheels are spaced apart for added stability.

    I bought these for my 3 1/2 year old daughter so she could skate like her big sister. Her shoes fit perfectly in the skate and can be adjusted easily. I love that she can start out slowly and then move into all wheel skating. The only reason I didnt' give it five stars is that it makes a loud clicking noise in position number two to let you know the front wheels are moving. We like them so much, I'm buying them for a friend's birthday gift.

    I bought both this one and the next model up in size. The grow with me feature did not work quite like what I expected. Only the front 2 wheels lock according the setting you choose. The skates kept slipping forward and my kids fell back repeatedly. The number setting switch was also a bit loose or weak. But the size adjustment was a sinch to make.
    I took them back the same day with no problems. Exchanged for the combination training skates /three wheel inline skates that start out with the 3 wheels configured like a tricycle. The back two wheels can later by converted to the inline configuration. The sizing adjustments were very secure and easy to do. They have a stopper on the back of the skate that help prevent the backwards falling. It is more bootlike that only requires socks. One of the brands included knee pads and sturdy wrist guards (they are awesome).

                    These are excellent trainer skates because the wheels lock. There are a number of imitators out there, marketing toddler-friendly skates, but the wheel lock is a must-have feature.

                    Although these may be pricey for some, remember that you could probably get a good 3-4 years out of them, depending on how fast your child's feet grow.

                        I bought these for my 3 yr old daughter this Christmas (2011) and she LOVES them. This was her first time on any kind of skate and she can stand steady in them and 'skate walk' is how I would describe her experience. But my 4 yr old puts them on also and she just goes! The 3 different settings help tremendously and its not hard to change from one setting to the other. They have never changed settings on their own!
