Yes, it's hard for even me to push the button to make Elmo basically throw up water...but it's just poorly made. My son has more fun playing with the crunchy staw part.

This is such a great toy. Everyone who gives it negative reviews should realize that, yes it is hard for a toddler to push but it isn't like your toddler will be in the tub unsupervised. I have no problem pushing the shower for my daughter and if that's why you're taking it back, shame on you, you are lazy. As for the cleaning, it's simple. Fill the sink with some bleach or cleanin products and pump it through the shower. That simple. My daughter loves this shower. It is so much easier to get her to bathe now.

This is very difficult to use. It needs to be pushed in order to get the spray to come out, which is very hard to do as the button is hard to push and Elmo's head needs to be angled just right. When my daughter was able to do it, it shot her in the face with soapy bath water. Waste of money and just plain aggravating.

i saw a similar product online and headed over to the store to find it, this is the only option available according to store associate. the idea is fantastic, the function is not. as an adult i have a hard time pushing the start button hard enough to get water to come out and when it does it is not in a spray as you would think. it's a puddle that kind of plops out. needless to say, i am extremely disatisfied and it is going back!

I agree with all of the comments about it being too difficult for a toddler to use, but I wanted to add that you cannot clean inside of the toy so a black mold grows inside the tubing where the water passes through. I had to throw it out after a few uses. Gross!!

This product is difficult to use and it is not kid friendly. I tried to use it with my grandson but he only liked it because it was Elmo. He couldn't squeeze or push in the button so that the water push through.

This product is terrible. My 3 1/2 year old can't even push it. I have to pump it for it to work, which is not why I bought it. I thought it would entertain my children so I wouldn't have to work so hard. Do Not Buy!!

My daughter loves Elmo but this toy is hard to pump/spray. We do not use it for what it's meant for...just another toy in the tub!

It says it's easy to use and it's not the star you have to push is very stiff, my 27 month old son has an extremely hard time with it. It says to delight in its soft shower, they should say, watch elmo spit into you child's face! It squirts hard or if you press a little softer then it spills out the side of elmos mouth. This is just not a fun toy and doesn't work at all like you would think it should.

This is one of the worst bath toys ever. It looks like a shower but in just squirts water. It is impossible for my 18 month daughter to use it alone and you have to push hard and more than once to get it to squirt. Also, since you have to push hard on the star, the thing slips around the side of the tub. There is nothing good about this thing and I wish I could return it.
