Absolutely, horribly cheap. Did not work. If your children have iPods or DSi, then use them to text. This product is a piece of junk.

This product was absolutely useless. My husband and I have spent 3 hours trying to get the things to work and they do not. We went to Youtube to see if someone had posted videos about these. We found out that all the videos about them explained that they did not work. You cannot set the date because it gives you an error message. No matter what you do, it will not send messages.

don't buy this. this toy is a big waste of money it is annoying to open and close it makes a weird buzzing sound and it doesn't work. I bought this present for my 8 year old friend for her bday party at stars and strikes and when i tried using it it didn't work! i tried clicking send but it didn't do it. This was suppose to be easy especially for 7 year olds. Now I have to buy her another present because this is a waste of money!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter got this toy today, she was so excited. It did not take long for that to change. This is by far the WORST toy we have ever had in our house. I have three children so that is saying alot. The instructions are the most useless 19 pages I have ever read. I tried for over an hour to figure this thing out and ended up laying it to the side until the kids went to bed so I could really give it my undivided attention. I think the manual was translated with vital information missing, because I am going step by step and still not getting it to even function well enough for a child to enjoy. Not only would I not recommend this toy, I will personally tell every one I see what kind of junk it is, in hopes they don't waste their money as I did. I would give it ZERO stars but that is not given as an option.

Well, where do I start? My daughter was very excited to get this messenger toy for her birthday to be able to text her friends. She is 8 and too young for a cell phone, so I thought it would be a fun gift for her. Because I am a very determined person, I eventually got the text messages sent, but spent hours refusing to give up on the stupid toy. First, the clock must be set with the day first and then the month to even set up the time. Then a process must be followed to the letter to send a message. While the message is being sent, the other person must have their message screen set to receive. This means the other person always has to be alerted that you are sending a text, so they can put their screen on the correct setting. Then, they keyboard is not user friendly, and I even had trouble with taking so long to type the message that some sort of time limit ran out, and I would have to push receive again on the other set. (I was only trying to type Hello and my daughter's name.) By the time I had figured out how to use the two systems, my daughter didn't even want to use them anymore. She said they were too hard to work, and they worn't worth the time. I do believe this toy was designed for Harvard graduates since it is so confusing. It seems like a nice idea for a toy, but in reality it is far too complicated for a child to truely be able to use. Sure, my daughter could just punch things on the screen and pretend text, but she has much cheaper toys for pretend play. I am sick that I wasted my money on this, and I still have the package and receipt; therefore, I will be returning it!!!!!

Wow I didn't know how to use it. When you set everything it messes it up. You can't even find out how to text. And you have to be in the same room. Not worth buying.

My girls begged for this..Put it in their Easter basket. Wish I would have read the reviews first. This is the biggest piece of junk ever made..I am taking it back..No way are we keeping these. They do not work. They do not work..oh and yea they do not work!
