My daughter is now 4 and has recently started getting into Barbie. She wanted a doll that could get into the water with her was over the moon when she recieved this doll. She quickly became frustrated with this doll because the doll's legs do not bend. In fact, the plastic on the legs seem very cheap...perhaps even hollow.
What happend to bendable legs? I wish Mattel would go back to the kind of Barbies I had growing up, the ones with bendable legs and a more innocent look. I know there are more posable Barbies on the market, but quite frankly they are too "grown up" looking and their dresses are way to revealing....not something I want my little one playing with just now. What ever happened to the My First Barbie??? Also, I agree with the other reviewer who wanted the box to state whether or not the dolls legs are bendable. That would have kept me from wasting my money on this purchase.

We bought last year´s Beach Barbies (Mermaid Tale Barbie) and they had life like bendeable legs. But this new Barbie has hard plastic unbendeable legs. The photo promoting this doll shows a doll with a leg bended but it is incorrect, the doll can´t achieve this position. The bikini and sunglasses are nice, but the body is of lower quality than last year´s dolls.
