Item is very soft & plush just like the picture but doesn't do the job. The pillow doesn't stay in place when my son falls asleep. His head slumps forward in a very uncomfortable position.

I purchased this neck support so my daughters head wouldnt lean forward and to the side in her front facing car seat. It protects her head from the side, but the opening in the front still permits her head to lean forward and when it does, then it opens up at the bottom and her head still falls forward and to the side. I wouldnt buy this one again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The material is very soft and pliable, unlike some other neck rests that have no give to them. It is cushy, but not over stuffed. I like the added head support, and it wraps nicely all the way around my 12 mo. old son's neck to also provide support from the forward head slump. Unfortunatly, it seems to always need to be readjusted, it easily falls out from under his neck and I need to reach back and tuck it in closer. So, it may be better for younger babies.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
