The overall quality of the chair is great and the cushions are super thick and comfy . The only downside to this this chair is that the lever to lock it into the reclining position is very loud. Hoping it will get quieter as we break it in .

We originally purchased this product on Black Friday 2012. When we got the chair, part of it was broken. Babies R Us was so accommodating and exchanged the part that was broken. My husband put it together and we love the chair! It's high quality and looks great!

My wife and I did lots of shopping and research before buying this set. Like others have said, this set is a trick to get together. It was fine for about 3 months and then started squeaking. Come to find out the ball bearing went bad on the rocker. Tried to contact Shermag but they were useless. Researched online for replacement parts. All I have to say is good luck. I still have not found any and the rocker is unsafe to sit in.

We bought this around Christmas on sale in 2011. Our baby was bormn in April 2012. The first few weeks we had the chair it was great - of course we didn't use it because the baby wasn't here yet. But within one week of using it everyday to rock her, the thing started squeaking, there smooth gliding motion changed into a slight 'jerk' like it was goin over a bump. At 135lbs I toppled out of it, it's weakly braced going right to left.. it WIGGLES! We have tried everything to get this thing to glide smoothly. I am just glad we paid only [$] during a saleand not the [$] or whatever it is now listed for. I hate it so much as it starts LOUDLY squeaking mid rock and won't stop so we have to lock it into a stationary position. DO NOT BUY THIS ROCKER!!!! It is the absolute worst thing we have purchased not only for the baby but ever. I wish I had read reviews on it before we got it. The glider I had for my eldest came from [@] for about $150 and that one worked so much bette than this piece of cheap chair. If you get it after reading this... and other reviews... you were warned.

First off, my husband had no issues putting together this chair. However, that said, the instructions are terrible. They are simply drawings of pieces and some are very difficult to see and to decipher what goes where.

The chair itself is very comfortable and was exactly what we were looking for. The reclining aspect of the chair was a must have for me. This one reclines but is very stiff at this time to push back and put back forward. We are thinking with some WD40 and breaking in it should work better.

All round this is a nice chair considering the price and we loved that the ottoman and cute side table come with instead of having to purchase seperate.

Initially I loved this glider. It's super comfy and a great color. I got it the day after Thanksgiving so it was half off, but it's still overpriced for the quality in my opinion. We didn't have any trouble putting it together. I feed my baby every night in this, so after 10 weeks of daily use here's what I have found:
1) it will tip over if you lean too far forward. kind of frightening when you are half asleep at 3 am putting a baby back to bed. this is not a weight issue, it has to do with the chairs center of gravity
2) my cushions are still comfortable, but flattening out
3) i can feel the arm rest on the right starting to separate from the chair, so now the whole thing is wobbly. i tend to lean on that side more for support in fairness, but after 2 months that's just poor craftsmanship.
4) the reclining lock pops out every time i sit down.

it is clearly poorly made. before buying it i had gone searching in furniture stores and could never find one. i was told repeatedly that most wooden gliders are now mass produced in china, and so poorly constructed they no longer stock the inferior products. i should have listened and bought a real rocker/recliner

I was one of the 1st people to post a more negative review of this rocker, especially about the cushions flattening out. As another reviewer commented that for the cushions to flatten out or for the rocker to flip, you would have to be a larger person, I topped out at 165 pregant and my husband is 185. This rocker is just not worth the money, and I think that other poster is a little prejudicial.

After sleeping in this last night with a baby who would not let me put him down I decided it was time to post a review. I LOVE this glider. I am so glad we purchased it. The price is a little high, but it is very nice and with the amount of time we spend in this chair, it was worth every penny in my opinion. The cushions are thick and comfortable. You can't feel the wood through them. The ottoman is a lifesaver to have, especially for someone who is short like myself. I love the locking feature, as it makes it much easier for me to sit down and stand up from the chair with the baby in my arms. The best part for me, especially after a long night, is the reclining feature. I was able to get decent sleep in this glider because it reclines. If it didn't, I can't imagine I would've gotten much sleep at all trying to sit straight up. I'd highly recommend this glider. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the assembly was a little difficult.

Nice finished product but seriously the assembly was more painful than a root canal. If someone gave me a $1,000 to put this together again, I would kick them in the shin, then leave. the directions are straight out of a pictionary game, with no verbiage at all-- good times....the finished product is actually nice, but pay someone to put it together for you, not worth the agony
