    I'm a fan of nerf and like to try out some of their different techs to see how the projectile warfare R&D is developing. I own the vulcan, the maverick, the recon, and the buzzsaw.

    I really like the vigilon. From the little bit of playing around indoors i've done with it, here are my following thoughts:
    Pros:

    Accuracy. It doesnt seem to have the same drift that the darts can suffer from. The projectiles are also a sturdier than the darts so they'll maintain their accuracy as they age.

    Distance. This thing really does shoot far.

    Reload. Easiest gun besides the buzzsaw to reload, basically just stack them in you hand and plop it right in.

    Build: It feels nice to hold in the hand, balanced well. It hasnt jammed on me yet, and based on the design i dont see that happening as much as any of the other guns. Also easy to arm, and cocking mechanism doesnt feel cheapy (like it will break if you pull it back to hard/fast).

    Cons:
    The only thing I might warn against would be letting smaller children play with it. It really does pack a punch and I for one wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of these discs to my eyes.

    I bought this gun for my son. Although at first he loved it, the gun soon began to get jammed. We fixed it the first couple of times by pulling the orange slide on the side that was supposed to fix any possible jams. However, the gun soon became completely jammed and the jam clear button was completely useless. I've tried EVERYTHING and nothing has worked; the lever you pull out in order to shoot is stuck and will not pull out whatsoever. Now I have a broken, jammed gun that is no use to anyone. A waste of [$].

          Bought this for my son's birthday. Out of the box 5 minutes and the trigger/ breach slide completely jammed. Tried to fix to no avail. Rubbish product, don't buy.

            This gun only worked for a couple weeks. The reload slide on top is jammed and will not release no matter what I try. It is completey useless and ready for the trash bin.

            My son loved this when he got it for Christmas. He isn't rough with his toys. After a month of playing with it the reload on the top became stuck and not the gun will not work at all.

                  this gun was ok when it first came out of the box; great range but it jammed WAY too much. You really have to "break in" this blaster for maximum performance. After about a week of using the Vigilon, the range was excellent and the accuracy was amazing. Great job nerf.

                  unfortunately, these are not like the nerf darts. they HURT a lot when they come at you. my kids learned very quickly to not shoot them anywhere near each other. we are sticking to the nerf darts

                        We actually got this for our 2 year old son, because we got his brother the bigger one. He can't pull back on the lever by himself but he loves this gun. The discs shoot out really fast. I prefer these disc nerf guns over the original nerf guns...the discs don't get jammed and thats a major plus. And they are so much faster and further. We love thsese guns.

                                Great new Nerf blaster... the 6 yr old, the 10 yr old and the 35 yr old in this household all enjoy em. The kids got 2 of these for Xmas and I think I probably should have bought one for their Dad too! Those discs really fly so you probably want to buy some refills! Bravo Nerf... you did it again!
