Here's the thing: The 3D effect supercharges this game into something awesome. You know how you tend to pick up power-ups by trying to drive into the general vicinity of the items and hoping for the best? No more! With the depth perception offered by the 3DS, you can nail those power-ups each and every time.

Now on the 3ds this game is a fun and challenging game with better graphics than the pictures above let on. It is truly a fun arcade racer. I have Ridge Racer as well and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this game is much better. ridge Racer is fun too but it has an annoying ladies voice in it every two seconds and the drifting gets old real quick. This game has many more challenges, race types, great graphics, better cars with customizations and auto parts, take downs, and it isn't too difficult but yet not too easy. It is a challenging game that is truly a pleasure to play.

Similarly, I had a lot of trouble with take-downs in Asphalt 5. Judging the relative position of other cars can be tricky, leading to a number of near misses. With the 3DS, it's a snap! In fact, you can zip by passenger cars within inches and come off unscathed due to the depth perception of the 3DS.

I absolutely recommend this game, even if you have the similar game on the IOS.

If you enjoy Asphalt even in the slightest, you will LOVE this game! FYI, this game is different than the IOS version in many more ways than can count. If you like racers get it. Have fun.

an ok game. ridge racer 3d's framerate is way smoother than this game but this game has head on crashes with non racers and cops who are nasty and will treat you like a punk. 3d is good if you wanna use it. music is just....meh!

Well I bought the 3ds at my local toys R us and they were giving away one free 3ds game and this one looked liked the best in the bunch...I WAS RIGHT!This shows excellent 3d and fast paced action kind of like need for speed.Great licensed cars and tracks, good for beginners and excellent for Racing veterans.the only downside is that there is no online play but it If a friend has it you can connect and play!A Must buy for anyone

The 3DS is great in itself but this game shows the features to the max.
the controls are great and easy to use
when you really get into it, you start to feel like your drving.
LICENSED CARS!!!!!!!!!
only reason it didnt get 5 out of 5 is because after playing for about 1 1/2 hours, it froze on me..twice.
Definitely recommend!
