This Lego product is not as sturdy as other Lego products we've purchased as gifts.
While our grandson is excited with the prospect of 'racing' the cars and playing with the set. His excitement with the Lego Pirate Ship last time seems at a higher level overall.

My son got this set for his 6th birthday and absolutely loves it, but still can't quite follow the directions to assemble everything himself. Even so, the joy he gets from building his favorite Cars movie characters with help from an adult is worth the money. And with so many unique pieces, the opportunity for imaginative play is endless, so he can play for hours on his own as well.

The Lego set is awesome!! However - don't be fooled into thinking you are going to get the free cars with it. My mom ordered this for my 9 year old son and the free cars DID NOT come with it. BE informed . . . the "details" say while supplies last - evidently they have been sold out of these free cars for quite some time. Don;t know why they still have the offer up on the website. But supplies are no more.
