Got it shipped to store just in time for my son...picked it up christmas eve. He opened it to find the 3DS game missing - had been taken out and resealed. Will open box before I leave store next time. Not happy.

When you buy a game for children you don't want to have to buy lots of other things to go with it. Well you will with this game. You'll need to buy around 34 more little figures to unlock other things in the game.
The old Spyro games were much better.

My kids LOVE this game! I even play it sometimes. The 3DS version is good and the thing my kids liked the most was the rare Skylanders it came with. I think my kids might like the Wii version better but the DS is portable which is nice. I didn't know if my kids would like it as much as they did but they and their friends LOVE it! I highly recommend it!

This is a great game. I'm an adult with children and I love it.

The 3DS version of this game, is much different than the game on the PC and other consoles. Its very fun, the only bad thing is that the portal eats batteries fast. I'd recommend rechargable ones to use for it.
The 3 figures you get with this game are awesome too. My favourite of all the skylanders is "Dark Spyro" And you can only get him with this starter pack in particular.

This is a great game and is easy to play for little kids.

The base used for the miniatures only works sporadically. I have to hold the figures a few inches above the base for any hopes of playing. I have ordered a replacement from Activision, but I am not optimistic.

My 5 year old son got the ps3 version for Xmas and extra figures from family, we are loving it, whole family is into this fun game, not too hard, he knows all the characters, their powers and elements, cool.....he decided to buy with Xmas money the 3ds version too which comes with 3 figures that can be used not only on the 3ds but also his ps3, works great......the 3ds portal takes the right angle to transport the character into the game but keeps multiples there in game in crystals so you don't have to swap using the portal.....plus... biggest plus is this is a different game then the ps3 version so adds to the world....and characters can jump in this version, they can't in the ps3 version..........3d looks great too though it is turned off due to mybson being 5.........
