From all the moxie Teenz Line I think gavin is the most gorgeous, He is so handsome in person! The image photo of the product is lame compared to the real thing. Gavin does not exchange wigs like melrose or tristen (first wave and second wave ones) he is completely poseable, smooth hair no wonky eyed and of course with high couture clothing. The package is very difficult to open and really big but good to protect the doll on rough shipping, He looks good in any way no bad cuts in hair! I´d wish he came with cute accesories for one of the moxie teenz girls. Over all I loved him I totally blushed when I saw him.

At first I wasn't too sure about Gavin. I kind of figured that he had rooted hair rather than wigs (which is the same route Liv went with Jake), but then I learned Leah also has rooted hair. So, overall, I'm a little disappointed that MGA has abandoned a well-liked feature from the dolls. Anyway, that has very little to do with our friend Gavin. I love this boy, and I'm glad I bought him.

Gavin's hair is kind of stiff and has a "straw-like" texture compared to the debut dolls. It's a little disappointing, but I suppose they were going for "realism" based on stereotypes. I'm happy they at least gave him rooted hair. That's a victory in my book because his hair color is lovely. It's dark brown with dirty blonde highlights. It's rooted a little thin, but because of his part, that won't be too noticeable. The only thing I'm not a fan of are the painted on sideburns. I don't know why they bug me, but they do.

Like the girls, Gavin has inset eyes. He doesn't have eyelashes, so at first he looks very surprised compared to the girls. Once you get used to the wide-eyed look, it's actually very endearing. He has very light blue eyes that are beautifully detailed.

His face sculpt is very strong and detailed (like the girls' faces). He has nice lips, and his face isn't overly square, like most male dolls. So, he has a bit more of a pretty boy appearance than the Moxie Boyz and Ken. That's a refreshing change of pace.

Gavin's body is kind of hollow, so he's lighter-weight than the girls. It's a little unusual, but it doesn't seem to affect his quality much. He's just as flexible as the girls--even his ankles and wrists are jointed, which is awesome!

His default suit is nice. He looks very "dapper" as my friend put it. It's made of a soft, slick material. The jacked is partially lined, and the tie is a nice touch (even if it is pleather--an interesting choice). His shirt is actually pretty detailed, and it looks like a tailored dress shirt (with closures on the wrists for a closer fit). The shoes are a little dull, but I suppose that's to be expected.

Even though I love his default outfit, I would LOVE to see some new fashions for him (preferably something casual).

The bottom line is that he is overall a great male doll. The only big thing I would change is the material of his hair. He's actually pretty high quality.
