My five year old got this for Christmas and at first we were really impressed. The eyes and mouth move like the cartoon and it was neat how it instructed you how to drive it. However, after about an hour total of play it stopped turning. We returned it, and got another (TRU was good about the swap, no problems there). The second one didn't run for five minutes before the remote stopped working, so back to the store we go again. This would be a five star toy if it actually worked, but it seems like you have a 50-50 chance of getting one that works. Luckily, there are enough other new toys right now to distract my son from his disappointment over this toy, but I really wish Disney would do a better job of putting toys on the market that aren't flimsy junk that lead to tears when they fall apart/don't work.

I bought this RC car for my 2 year old son! He is absolutely obsessed with Pixar Cars! We have gone through quite a few RC cars for my little guy, but he is only two so he is still rough with his toys,and typically the other RC cars do not last long. However, the Lighting Mcqueen, has held up great!! I don't see it getting broken any time soon!! The only flaw about the car is when it hit's a wall, just a little too hard, it shuts off. Which is fine for an older child, but with a two year old, it pretty frustrating. But I would buy this RC car again, and suggest it to my friends!

Bought this for my two year old who amazingly loves remote control vehicles. He was so upset when we put brand new batteries in the controller and it would not turn on for Christmas morning (Just opened the box of batteries and even tried another set just to be sure). I now know why my Mother in Law always test all the toys she buys first. Now I get to stand in line with the millions of others to make a return :(

I read the reviews on this before I bought and I hesitantly bought it anyway. I'm really glad I did. I bought 2, one for my son for Christmas and one for my nephew. My husband and I decided that before we wrapped them we would test them out for awhile just to make sure there's nothing wrong with them. I did alot with this thing and it still ran very well. I even bumped it pretty hard into the wall and it still worked perfectly. My son and nephew are going to be so thrilled that they have a Lightning McQueen that looks real and talks to them. I'm very happy with this toy and the new price is even better.

We ordered this for Christmas for our 6 year old son. He was very excited to open it but extremely disappointed that it did not work. It would turn on intermittently but when he tried to move it, it would turn off. If it hit anything, either a tiny bump on the tile or a cloth chair, it turned off. We would have to pick it up and turn it back on and even this only worked intermittently. Even after changing batteries, still not working. Toys R Us was very generous and allowed us to receive a replacement. It works slightly better then the original one, but is extremely sensitive to even the slightest bump. Overall a very disappointing toy.

This product was priced way too much at this store. I ran across the sameToy another retailer for twenty bucks cheaper. There are limitations to thisToy that for the dollar amount my son should b able toDrive it long as he want. Directions say let rest after fifteen minutesOf play.

My son loves this car, but he usually just pushes it around his self. My only problem with this item is the remote is a little difficut for him to use, buy hey he is only 3 so I probably should have just waited a year or so to get it but it is such a cool car!

We bought this for our 3 year old who loves cars. He loves the RC feature and is learning to follow McQueen's directions. Hours of fun.

I had high hopes for this toy as my 4 year-old son's first RC car. The first one I got came with a remote that had faulty battery contacts and could not stay powered longer than a minute or two. I returned it to the store and got a new one. The second version has a faulty power switch on the bottom of the car that turns the car off if it bumps into a wall or furniture. I expected more from this, and my son quickly grew tired of having to reset it. At [$] it was a terrible investment.

My son opened this on x-mas morning and was thrilled. We put brand new batteries in it and ...what a disappointment! This toy is supposed to say cute phrases when he bumps into a roadblock, instead, ours turned off. So we clicked the switch off then on again, and it raced fine until it gently bumped something again and turned off. What a waste, and so sad for my son on Christmas morning! It's already been sent back and I will NOT be repurchasing.
