These don't fly well at all. For the same price you can buy a helicopter from your local hobby store or [@] electronics that can be controlled well and some have replacement parts.

We bought this item for our 5 year old thinking he would enjoy it and spend months learning to properly fly it. We were wrong. He LOVES it and picked up the knowledge of properly flying it within a day of opening it. Air Hogs is a fantastic company that makes high quality products. Their customer service department is extrememly friendly and cooperative and offers a 90 day "almost anything goes" replacement policy.

This was the first helicopter my son had flown. And the first I had played with in a while. Air Hogs have come a long way!
The Fly Crane is a very stable flyer, and surprisingly easy to control. With the push of a button, it lowers (and retracts) a hook which can be picked-up and transported. We put some cat-nipp in the basket and kitty was jumping at it like crazy!
The plastic construction makes the toy very robust and the rotor system is powerful enough to get it really high up.
I look forward to seeing what people will post on youtube with this one.
