To be able to understand why LEGO has been successful for so long, just look to the name. LEGO originally got its name from founder Ole Kirk Christiansen who combed the Danish words "Leg Got" which means "play well". He later realized that LEGO in Latin translates to "I put together." The LEGO set became a standard of creative play for children worldwide, unlocking the creativity to build vehicles, buildings, cities and more. Historians point to the invention of the wheel as a major turning point in world history. The invention of the LEGO wheel had the same monumental effect in the history of LEGO, making it possible to create cars, trucks and eventually the LEGO train building set that is one of the most successful LEGO sets of all time. LEGO currently produces about 20 billion LEGO bricks a year and has sold over 400 billion LEGOs in their history -- enough for every person on the planet to have over 60 LEGOs each!

    The Beast of the Jungle!

    By legolach

    from central coast

Comments about LEGO Hero Factory Raw-Jaw (2232):

I got this set for christmas as I had already had experience with the Hero factory line. In the past my brother and I had collected over 80 Bionicles and were upset to find out the theme would end in 2010. But now it is 2012 and Hero Factory is contesting the popularity of the Bionicle theme in it's own way. I was pleasantly surprised by the looks of this beast and I think the name Raw-Jaw suits the creature. The use of red pieces makes it look great and the use of the new armour plates is fantastic. I really do like the new Hero Factory builds even though Bionicle was my favourite Lego theme. Raw-Jaw's head piece is awesome as it also has huge 'tusks' coming out of the sides of the head. Overall the playability of these new Hero Factory Villains and Heroes is great and I would definitely recommend trying one out.

Comments about LEGO Hero Factory Raw-Jaw (2232):

My 6- and 8-year old sons loved the Lego Heros mini-video that came with their Lego magazine. (Families can get a free subscription.) The Heros product, which is cross-promoted through DVD videos, is MUCH EASIER to visualize constructing and deconstructing and mixing-up-constructing than the Bionicles products for my young engineers. I can see them having a much easier time taking them apart and building new creatures out of their parts, which seem fewer in type, with more standardized basic structures and pieces. My 8-year-old commented on this immediately. My 6-year-old had no problem constructing Bulk 3.0, which he asked for by name. Both boys have been playing imaginary scenes with them. Be warned, the stories that are told with these creatures through their videos have violent underlying themes, with chaotic, dangerous landscapes and creatures intent on harming our heros, even if actual violent acts (fighting, etc.) are just a small part of the story. The good-vs-evil themes are thankfully not presented as black-and-white good vs. evil; i.e., more thoughtful themes have prevailed in the bits I've seen. The characters are funny, "human," fallible, stress teamwork ... I haven't watched enough to share more. As a mom of boys, I recommend both the product and its tie-ins.

Hey You! I've Got A Banana Here With Me!!!!!!

      By anglerfish94

      from mirano

Comments about LEGO Hero Factory Raw-Jaw (2232):

This set is awesome, it is very detailed, featured and big. When you open the box you get apart the main body black piece, the upper bright-silver armour, in the little bag the bright-silver fingers of the front legs/arms with the technical pieces that hold the tusks, in the big bag all the remaining pieces. I like very much the ben ten foots, because are most of their surface rough, so if you touch them you don't leave on them a finger trace, like with the smooth pieces. Althought it has a less amount of pieces than Fangz, it has the same playability, and it looks sturdy and strong the same too; you can put it beating his chest like king kong, or you can make him climbing on something using the fingers of the front legs/arms. I very like the chest red plate detail, because gives to raw-jaw a more animal-look, I very like the head part too, that's made by a bright-silver piece at the back, and by the red gorilla face at the front, I like also the feature of the posable fingers, of the giant tusks and in particular of the technic piece in the middle part of the body. I very like it also because in the Savage Planet game it seems wayyyyyy more terrifying than in reality. The only negative side is that the majority of the weight is focussed on the arms, you have to balance well this set when you put him with an arms up like it's fighting or things like this. It's also safe for kids because only a piece is panted, so if even a kid put in his mouth a not-panted part he /she will certainly will not eat a part of the paint, and because the only spike is made of rubber, so it doesn't sting and last but not least the set doesn't have any ball/sphere element. let's with the prons and cons: very big animal posable fingers cool tusks technic piece! giant arms cool ben ten foots cons: hard to balance when it's without an arm on the floor hope this review will be helpful for you!!!!!!!

      Pleasantly Surprising

      By OniYoji

      from Undisclosed

Comments about LEGO Hero Factory Raw-Jaw (2232):

When I first saw this box, I'll be honest , I thought It was some kind of ape! But when I opened it up and inspected closely, I realized it was a Sabertooth tiger styled character. Either way i wasn't disappointed. The bright Red and Black Black go together perfectly. There are also more pieces than I thought there would be...and it was also harder to put together than I thought it would be (which is a good thing) So, for my first hero Factory figure, I am very pleased. And I shall certainly be buying more.

      really good set

      By cool343434dude

      from Sarasota

Comments about LEGO Hero Factory Raw-Jaw (2232):

This is a nice set. Lets get to the basics. The build is fairly enjoyable. The only pieces I don't like are the Ben ten feet because they ar not as manueverable. When it comes to playability, Raw Jaw is great. Its jaw can open and you can even make it beat his chest (like King Kong) with ease. Its tusks are pretty large as well wich makes it look much cooler. If you want him to stand on two legs, he can't look straight unless you put his head socket on the ball in front of the one its already on (you'll know it when you see it). The one bad thing about Raw jaw is that since he is a gorilla, his back legs are really short. If he stands on all fours he is shorter than a hero, if he stands on two legs he is still shorter than a hero. Because of his size he should cost just a little more than a hero. In conclusion, Raw jaw is a great set if you like vicious animal stuff. If you don't mind the size that much you'll be just fine with this set. I hope this helped.
