We bought this just for something different to have at our house when our 17-month-old comes over. If someone is willing to reposition the truck, to make it start on the track, etc., then it's mildly entertaining but it sure doesn't work like the box would lead you to expect. Just so-so. It will also fall over all the time with any typical play from a toddler at all.

We got this for our 1.5 year old son and had high expectations! It looked like it would be fun, and thought he would have a fun time watching the trucks drop down on each level. Well, he got to watch the truck on the top level... then it got stuck. Or tumbled and got stuck. Or tumbled and fell out. =/ We finally gave up on using the vehicles that came with it, and resorted to using Hot Wheels. Those little things go through it great! If you get one of these, I'd definitely suggest to have some Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars on hand, because the Tonka Chuck & Friends one that comes with it won't work.

It seems to work well only with the truck that came with it. My son has other similar Tonka cars, but only the truck that came with it flips and goes out well. Otherwise, it's fun!
