My 8 month old daughter got this toy as a christmas gift. She likes it well enough so far, and maybe as she gets older it will have more appeal. She hasn't quite figured out the ball dropping yet, but I'm sure she will soon. She loves to hold the balls and bang them together (that's her thing this week!) She's figured out how to push the buttons and seems to enjoy the music and lights. I've noticed a few negative points though, for example there are no noises when the barn doors are opened. The product description says there should be, so maybe ours is defective? The noises do work when the balls are dropped inside, however the noises and music themselves could be confusing for a young child. I find that the best toys that light up and make sounds are those that teach cause and effect... if you push one button it lights up. But in this toy, no matter which button you push they pretty much all light up and play songs loudly (no volume control). All the lights blinking at once seem a bit chaotic and unclear for a baby...and the sounds are pretty obnoxious to adults! Also the white line drawings of farm animals on the buttons are tiny, colourless, and hard to recognize, so I'm not sure how they are going to teach a young child to associate the animal with its sound...especially since the animal sounds recorded (moo-ing, baa-ing, etc.) aren't very realistic. So in all, its a silly farm toy, but the execution is kind of poor. That said, my baby seems to like watching me drop the balls in, and I'm sure she will figure it all out by herself soon. So since it was a gift, and I didn't pay for it, I guess I'm happy!

I bought the Cluck and Learn Barn for my son's first birthday as he has been interested in farm animals and loves to hear and mimic the animal sounds. The box was opened and thrown away during his party and it wasn't until later that we learned that the sounds for the ball drop would not activate. The three buttons on the front worked so it wasn't the batteries. I checked a few still on the shelves at the store and only one of three worked! I took the store credit instead of a replacement because I just don't trust the quality of this toy.

Neither my one or two year old are very interested in this product. I think the main reason is that the balls escape them constantly...under the couch or entertainment center. They give up. I can say that right now I have no idea where the balls are. I've searched and still can't find them. What use is this toy without the balls? Pushing the buttons is somewhat entertaining for my one year old. But this toy clearly needs a ball-catch. Note: There's no controlling which side the balls come out of. Most of the time we spend with this toy we're hunting down balls. Not fun.

My one year old would have liked this at 8 or 9 months kinda boring to her now. Doesn't have much to offer.

My 1 year old daughter somewhat plays with this toy but tires of it quickly. Bought it because of the stellar reviews but I wish I had looked at others that had more activities to them. Very disappointed, but I'm giving it three stars because it is made very well and is sturdy.

This little barn is so cute. It's full of fun sounds, bright colors, and it's educational! Not only does my 18 month old love it but so does her 3 year old brother so it's definitely a toy that will grow with your child.

Out of all of the toys my daughter got for her first birthday....this is her absolute favorite. She plays with it all the time. I love watching her while she plays with it. I can see her trying to figure out how the balls come out the bottom if she puts them in the top. She also loves to carry the balls around in general. She always has atleast one of the balls in her hand!

We received this toy for review and absolutely love it! My daughter is seven months old and just beginning to sit on her own. This toy is perfect to entertain her! She loves the lights and sounds and she LOVES to play with the little balls! She can't quite reach to put them in the top yet, but there are so many other things for her to do right now. The buttons are large enough for her to push easily, and just the right height for her to reach. She loves to open and close the barn doors. And she is a big fan of the colorful chicken on top. I love that the balls store in the barn, so it all stays contained and we are less likely to lose the balls. As she gets older, the learning mode will be a great teaching tool. This is a great toy for her to grow with, and I am sure she will be playing with it up into her toddler years.

My daughter is 17 months and loves this toy! She has played with it every day since we got it. She carries it all over the house. I love that it cleans up easily. Simple yet fun toy! I'd recommend this toy to anyone with a child under 3.
