I love the new generation of MLP. I'm so glad to see this new life come to Equestria, and these collectible figurines are top notch. In this first set of 12 we have the main six ponies and a half dozen side characters. They are nicely sculpted and small enough to be charming. They are not poseable, but I don't mind that. I do wish the cutie marks were painted on both flanks, though. And I would like to see some of the bronies later on, particularly Dr. Whooves.

Minor errors in coloring/design:

Applejack: Has two ponytails but should only have one.
Twilight Sparkle: Hair streak has only one band of color which is shaded inbetween the two bands she is supposed to have.
Fluttershy: Bangs/front hair is 1/3 as long as it should be.
Pinkie Pie: Accurate.
Rarity: Underside of her hair is considerably brighter than it should be. It's slightly jarring.
Rainbow Dash: Hair color is completely off. Front bit is Red-Orange-Teal-Yellow instead of Red-Orange-Yellow, rear bit is Y-O-R-R-O-Y instead of Green-Blue-Purple, and the tail is B-P-R instead of P-B-G-Y-O-R.

Everything else is spot on.

    My 5 year old daughter got a set of these for Christmas but our 3 year old son "took them over". He takes them EVERYWHERE with him and knows all of their names. Sooo...for Easter the Easter Bunny gave our now 6 year old daughter a new set of these ponies plus the set that has the accessories with the ponies. Toys R Us was having a buy one, get one half off sale which made the Easter Bunny very happy! :-). I was going to buy a couple more today, but the sale is over. :-(.
    I'm not sure why the recommended age group is from 3-5 though because children much older than 3 would enjoy these just as much and they wouldn't be as likely to lose the tiny ponies as a 3 year old would be.
    They are adorable little ponies and seem like they will last a very long time, well made!

              These are DARLING. I ordered them online, unsure of exactly what I"d get, but I was thrilled. The 'main' characters of the MLP cartoon were in there- as well as some of the 'favorite' extra characters. My daughter is going to LOVE these on Christmas morning!!

              I ordered this set for my daughter's MLP themed 6th birthday party. With the changeover to the "Friendship is Magic" line, there is not much available for MLP parties. I will be using these ponies to decorate her cake, and then she will be able to play with them once the party is over.

              I ordered these online, so I did not see them in person prior to ordering. The ponies are small - approximately 2 inches tall. They will work well for my intended purpose, and I do not have concerns about them being a choking hazard for my daughter. However, I would be hesitant to give them to a very young child. NOTE - the packaging does indicate ages 3+.

              In addition to the 6 main ponies in the FIM series, there are 6 "new" (special edition) ponies in the set. Others have stated that some of the ponies are not true to their colors or shapes. I would agree with previous reviews that Rainbow Dash and Rarity have slight color discrepencies, and Fluttershy's hair is the "wrong" style. However, these are minor details that would not affect the play value.

              Everything is spot on EXCEPT: Fluttershy, Rarity, and RainbowDash.

              Fluttershy: The hair is completely wrong. Looks like a painted-over version of Rainbowdash!

              Rainbowdash: Wrong sequence of colors in her hair!

              Rarity: Oh MY. The bottom layer should NOT NOT NOT be that bright!!!! Its PINK. WHEN IT SHOULD BE PURPLE.

                My daughter loves these ponies. My dog Patches loves these ponies too. He has eaten 3 of them and finding replacements for them is EXPENSIVE! It is a much better deal to buy the entire set again than going on ebay and trying to get individual ones. If you have a dog that LOVES PVC you need to buy two sets...one for your child and one for the dog to chew on. Do not worry, the chewed on ponies are now her Zombie ponies! I never should have let her watch the walking dead that one time.
