We purchased two of these for our 4 yr old identical twin grandsons for Christmas. The laptops are packaged so that you can use the demo without removing from the box. Animations will keep a child entertained, graphics are colorful, bright & vivid, instructional voice is loud & clear, which the volume can easily be turned up or down. Laptop & keyboard is durable, have not used the mouse because it is still packed.

AA batteries came with it, but they are for demo only & will not last long. We purchased the Vtech power cords, which will provide lots of hours of useage without having to replace batteries, which can be costly. In addition to purchasing these laptops for the Twins, we also purchased the Vtech Innotab for their 7 yr old brother with all of the assessories, such as power cord, rechargeable battery kit, etc.

When we visit our grand children, we have our laptops, iPads & other gadgets, which the grands watch in awe and want to play with them. Well, all of you parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, etc., know the rest of the story.

We thought that these gifts would be an educational and fun experience, not only for the kids but for the parents too. The initial cost of these hi-tech gadgets cannot compare to the cost of learning knowledge, which is priceless. We learned that reading books and the ole traditional way of teaching our grands is sometimes like pulling teeth. With these new hi-tech gadgets, this is another alternative in helping the kids with their education. We even purchased backpacks for them.

Every dollar was well worth spent. Hope this review was helpful.
