When the train approaches on the Draw Bridge, it automatically lowers and rises back up after it passes. The Draw bridge lowers to allow trains to pass and rises to allow cars to pass.

            This is pretty neat. My kids love how the drawbridge automatically goes down when a train goes over it, and comes back up afterward. Good buy and great addition to our train set.
