My 8 year old daughter loves everything "Victorious", but this was not a good purchase for us. She is pretty good with all her other electronics in the house but this was way to difficult for her to use and wasn't fun at all. Even though it looks like a full keyboard you had to press a key once, or twice or 3 times to get your desired letter...kind of like texting on your cell phone years ago. She was not interested in this at all after trying to figure it out with her 15 year old brother. She really wanted to like it, and was very disappointed.

I wish I could give this product negative stars. The keypad is numeric, very difficult to use. My 6 yr old daughters were so excited when they opened this at Christmas, but after me fooling with it for 30 minutes to no avail, they became uninterested. Not touched since. Confusing for me to use, much less children.

I wouldn't waste my time!

Don't waste your time. Have tried numerous times to figure this thing out and read the directions, looked online for directions and seriously wasted my time to try to figure this out for my daughter. Totally not worth it- will be returning this product asap. So frustrated.

I bought it for my daughter this Christmas. She loves it! However, you have to be sitting directly across from her in order to send and receive the txt. I think they should've been more creative, like adding an ring tone when u receive the message. Also, I shouldn't have to be within arms length of her in order to receive the txt. Most of the times she could see what I'm sending.

Does not have a full keyboard so kids have to write everything out with number keys. You need to be in direct line of sight of other unit. Not very easy to use.

I thought this would be perfect for my 6 year old, since she loves to text on our phones. Two intelligent adults that are computer literate & have masters degrees can't get these to text...really disappointed had to return.

This is not user friendly. It's very old technology. Instead of it being a newer alphabet keypad, it's numeric as if you were texting from an old phone. My 6 year old was not happy. I thought this would be good for her to practice spelling words and all, but we can't get past explaining that she needs to hit a button three times to get the letter she wants...
