I wasn't surprised when my niece brushed this gift aside for Christmas (she also got an EZ Bake Oven and really cool other stuff).

When we came back to this, my niece was very interested in it, and she quickly figured out how it worked. We played with the the sample book and she liked it. Then she wanted to play with the other books.

It took several hours to install the software from Leap Frog's website. The webpage on the books they tell you to go to download the software is incorrect. It took a little while to find it.

Once found, the software hung on install (it did download fine) and it took a couple attempts to get it on the laptop. By then, the kid had moved on to other toys.

There also isn't a lot of storage space on the pen. It would have been better to have flash or USB drive storage capability. I do like that everything is stored on one device - no cartridges.

I think my niece will enjoy this. She loves to read.

Received the leap frog tag girls package faster than I expected.
Everything they said would be in the package, was actually there.
I had been searching for days for a good deal on this package, it was even
cheaper than going straight through leap frog (which I have an account).
Plus, they gave me free shipping!!!
I saved about $40, any parents dream. :-)
