Comments about Bell Sports Bell Kidz Street Trainerz Training Wheels - Gray:

The 2 previous reviews were 100% right about these training wheels! I totally wish I had read them before ordering them, samething happened the wheels flipped upside down when my daughter (got the pink ones)tried to ride her 20 inch bike, and they DO NOT EXTEND OUT FAR ENOUGH, AT ALL! It is absolutely ridiculous design! I'm returning them, now don't know what to do about the bike w/no training wheels.

Comments about Bell Sports Bell Kidz Street Trainerz Training Wheels - Gray:

We used this product for half an hour before it was bent beyond repair. I bought this in the store, but wish now that I'd read these prior reviews online. I can't imagine any use for these training wheels, unless maybe your child weighs under 20 pounds. I've seen disposable pie pans that were made with stronger metal. Please do not waste your money.

    Wobbly wheels

Comments about Bell Sports Bell Kidz Street Trainerz Training Wheels - Gray:

We purchased 2 sets of these for our daughters' bikes. My daughters are tall for their age and need a 20 inch bike, even though they were still pretty wobbly and in need of balance. We bought these training wheels because the package indicated that they would fit bikes up to 20inches. They went on fairly smoothly, although my husband had to work with them a bit to get the best fit. Unfortuntely, at least with the 20 inch bike, these were not great as training wheels. While my daughter sat straight on the bike, neither training wheel was actually in contact with the ground; she'd have to tilt one way or another before feeling the support of the wheel. However, when she did lean to the side, contacting with the wheel, it would dislodge the training wheel, making it flip up (like a kickstand), rendering it useless as a trainer. We fought with the wheels for awhile, hoping that the girls would gain their center of balance by knowing that there were training wheels there if they tipped, but we gave up in the end and took the training wheels off. I wasn't very impressed with the performance of these, but that may have been because we had bigger bikes.

    Poor design

    By Brwrdvr

    from Ft Worth, Tx

Comments about Bell Sports Bell Kidz Street Trainerz Training Wheels - Gray:

I used these on a 16" bike for my 6 year old daughter.

First problem: These trainers don't extend out very far from the bike, causing instability. As a result, the slightest slope on the pavement, or slight lean from my daughter causes her to crash. Now she hates her new bicycle and I can rarely get her to ride it anymore.

Second problem: The brackets are very flimsy. Within 15 minutes of installing these, they were already bending out of shape. I can bend them back by hand (if that tells you anything); but it they just bend again as soon as she rides.
