I got this to use as a bow and arrow set for our Hobbit themed birthday party. The mostly 8 year olds were going to be shooting arrows at Smaug(an unfilled pinata). This bow was easy to use, comfortable, and all the kids LOVED IT!! And so did the adults! My son and I both LOVE to go to the park and shoot these off. Other major chain stores sell a version for the same price, but those arrows whistle. Extra noise is not my ideal kids toy so Toys R Us was the winner!! And they carry extra arrow sets which are great! Also works for either left or right handed people.

Bottom Line: WE LOVE THIS SET!!!

I got this for my son for his 10th birthday. I make an effort to avoid video games. He loved it and so did my 5 year old daughter. I finally bought her the girls version. (Kudos to the company for marketing a traditionally boys toy to girls.) My two year old also loves to chase the "arrows" as they fly through the air. Even Mom & Dad have been known to give it a try.

I bought this for my son who recently started archery lessons. While this is no where near the bow & arrows he uses in his lessons he really enjoys this set and his friends do as well. A big hit!

My 5 year old son received this as a Christmas gift. It is easy to shoot and aim and keeps him entertained for a while. He is very hard on his toys and I have found that his other arrows break too easily, but this one has held up really well so far. His 7 and 8 year old cousins have played with it too and really enjoyed themselves. The bow and arrows are still going strong!! Fingers crossed

We used these in a program for teens at the library. The bow was great, but the arrows didn't hold up very well. I would recommend buying lots of extras.

I bought this for my son when he was 4 he had some issues pulling back the arrows and keeping it pulled back while trying to aim and shoot. He is now 5 and just realized he could finally do it all together and was super excited. With all that being said I would make sure your child has decent hand and upper body coordination, it takes some strenght too. Other than that we all enjoy this too

We knew someone else experience an incorrect product shipping problem so we called to seek assurance that it was no longer an issue. Since this was a birthday gift we did not have time to go through returning it.
Guess what, we STILL received the wrong item....and by the time we got a re shipment it was TOO late.
Do NOT order this item on line unless it is for in store pick up. We had more problems with this order. The product is fine.

another review commented that the wrong item was shipped. Even after calling and expressing my concern since this was a birthday gift and needed to be delivered correctly, it happened again. We received the wrong item and then were told that reshipment would not occur for 48 hours. We have never experienced anything like this in over 10 years of ordering other products on line from various suppliers. This review does not deserve even 1 star. We know the product is great from seeing it enjoyed by other children...but there is definitely an internal problem in your shipping department.
