Comments about Learning Resources Pizza Mania Early Math Game:

My son was playing this regularly after school once he got it as his birthday gift from his mom. It is not only fun because he learns how to attention while listening. I give him hi5 every time when he does correctly. I also found out at his school has a toy like this too but in the big scale and no audio robot to tell what to make up. By the way,I am very satisfied.

This was purchased as a classroom activity. Unfortunately, even with half the class in specialists, the children can't hear the directions.

Comments about Learning Resources Pizza Mania Early Math Game:

I played Pizza Mania with my 5 year old daughter, husband and mother. We even enjoyed this game. My daughter just turned 5 so the 2nd level was best for her. Level 1 was too simple. Level 2 gives instructions quickly and a few times my daughter couldn't keep up. Her Nana helped her a bit. That difficulty is what made it fun for her. You could just see her thinking as quickly as she could to add and subtract the pizza toppings. It was simple enough for her play and went quickly enough that she had to move fast. I only wish there was a 3rd level of difficulty.

We really enjoyed Pizza Mania. After playing two rounds, my Princess wanted us to play without the Chef, and call out the toppings on our own even faster. She will be playing this for a while longer. We recommend this game because it is not only fun but educational.

I received this game to review on our family blog. But all opinions are mine.

Comments about Learning Resources Pizza Mania Early Math Game:

Even though Pizza Mania is technically an Early Math game, to my boys its just a fun game. It is a game that comes with four plastic pieces and pizza toppings, everything being quite durable! The game also comes with a pizza chef which is a plastic pizza guy who talks you through the game! He does require 3 AAA batteries, which are not included and his Italian voice makes my boys laugh. There are only two buttons on him, Start and Game so it is quite simple for my boys to play, but I do have to get them started as there are two games to choose from.

The first game, Pizza Party, is more for beginners (or younger players) as it uses basic adding and subtracting by 1-3 toppings. The chef tells players what toppings to add or take away from their pizzas.

The second game, Pizza Panic, is for more advanced players. It is basically the same as the first game but faster.

The games last about a minute and at the end of the game the chef will tell you what should be left on your pizza, whomever's pizza matches – wins! So yes there can be more than one winner! I really like that there (hopefully) isn't just one winner, as so many games are about competition but this game is more about self-confidence and paying attention. It encourages players to pay attention, listen to directions and not necessarily compete. While it is for 2-4 players (ages 4 and up) , really one person can play on their own to practice. My 3 year old loves to make the pizzas on his own and he is slowly understanding that he needs to listen to the pizza chef's directions.
