This toy is a lot of fun for 4 year old

This is a great new fun toy for a toddler, especially a girl. The coolest parts are the little items inside the shell. The crab worked but only on smooth surfaces.

I bought one for my daughter and within a day 2 of it's legs had fallen off. She was so upset so we went back and got another one which was $3.00 more....2 days later! The same thing happened to the second one that same day:( There were also ones in the store with the legs broken off. We will not be wasting our money on any more!

Cute and my child loves it. But the batteries went dead in less than hour. Normally that is ok but these are those special watch batteries so I did not have any lying around. My kid was not happy.

        my 4 year old daughter got this item for christmas, when we opened it, it had been on in the package so it didnt work so we exchanged it for another one, when we opened that one the leg broke right off. so dissapointing, we did not buy anymore!

        I bought the pink one with bows for my 4 year old. We opened it in the car, only to find it was on in the package and wouldn't work at all. We took it back into the store and exchanged it. The new one will buzz but will not run on any surface at all. SO disappointing!!!! Do not buy!!!

            I received 2 xia xia crabs and the small cabana as a funny gift for Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised by the durability of the toy and really liked the bright colors. The colors grabbed my sons attention immediately and the scuttling movement kept him chasing after them for some time. He liked being able to change the shells on the crabs as well as putting their "Lil people" back into the shells before putting the crabs nite nite or away for a nap. My son is only 15 months old, so I actually do not reccomend them for children under 4 without very close supervision and removing all small pieces. I liked that the toy kept his attention, has worked consistently, and also helps build dexterity in his fingers (putting shells on and off and pushing claw to make them scuttle around). Yet they are simple enough for him to use and remember how time after time. I dislike the small batteries because the are relatively expensive to replace and can be difficult to find them to purchase.
