The Totally Me! Make Your Own Dollhouse comes with:

• 22 wooden pieces
• 44 interior stickers x (1 x A3 sticker sheet)
• 4 x card house mates, 7 x card furniture pieces (made from 1 x A3 card sheet, CMYK + diecut + score lines)
• 1 x Instruction sheet (A4 double sided)
• 10 x paint pots (5ml each)
• 2 x glue pots (5ml each)
• 1 x paint brush
• 1 x tube of silver glitter glue (5ml)

How to make the house:

Make: Using your brush, glue the pieces of wood together following the diagrams. As you glue the pieces of wood, firmly hold together for approximately 30 seconds and allow glue to dry. Time required for glue to dry may vary depending on climate conditions. When you have finished gluing, clean your brush in a glass of water a wipe well.

Paint: Using your brush and imagination paint your new creation! Don't forget when painting, to use lighter colours first! Paint Hint: Add white to make your colour lighter and black to make your colour darker.

Decorate: Now it's time to decorate. Make sure the paint is dry before applying stickers and glitter glue. While your waiting for the glitter glue to dry, make the housemates and furniture pieces by folding, slotting and combining the card pieces following the diagrams.

Tip: Use rubber bands to hold the large pieces together whilst the glue dries. Remove before adding more pieces.

the stairs on the left side of the house was not made correctly and when you assemble them the stairs led away from the second floor. Not enough paint to finish house and glue did not hold the house together and it was not enough glue.

I have never reviewed a product before, but this was soooo bad I needed to say something. My daughter received this as a gift for her 6th birthday. I thought it would be a cute project that we could work on together. No Way! First, the glue that was included was horrible. The directions said to hold the pieces together for 30 seconds, but even after 5 minutes the glue was notsetting. Second, as I was trying to put the stairs in the slots, half of the wood pieces were too thick to fit. Have the people at Totally Me actually put this together?! How can they think that it is appropriate of a 6 year old? I thought about taking it back, but I did not have a receipt and I really didn't want to take the time to drive the 30 minutes one way to the nearest Toys R Us. I decided to use my glue gun instead and that held it together very well. I also used a utility knife and shaved down the ends of the stairs so they would fit in their slots. At some point she will have fun painting it, maybe play with it a few days and that will be it.

If I could give this product zero stars I would have. This product was the pits. The age recommendation of 6 and up is a complete joke. My daughter was so excited to build her own dollhouse, but she was completely deflated when she realized it was a complete sham. Building it as an adult made my blood boil. The pieces didn't t fits together and the glue was laughable...I would have been better off trying to stick it together with gum. What a waste of money, time and unfortunately my 6 year old's tears. Shame on you Toys R Us for putting your name on this product!

Pieces do not fit together well. Even if they did the glue does not seem strong enough to keep this toy together while a 7 year old plays with it I could not finish the kit because pieces do not lock together long enough for glue to set
