Once installed, they will cause the drawer to lock when it's opened more than 1.5 inches, keeping children from opening it any wider. When you want to get into the drawer, simply press the latch button and pull the drawer open.

It takes forever to screw the pieces into the cabinet. Was it easy? Yes, insomuch as it's easier than replacing the cabinets. Otherwise, it was a time consuming task. When I finally got the first hook/latch set installed, the hook snapped into two pieces. All that work for nothing. Learn from our mistakes; don't buy these.

Gave this to to my daughter to keep her twins out of the cabinets-was going to use this myself also-she let me know immediately that it didn't work-they figured it out the moment she put them on. This worked when I worked in a church nursery- other toddlers couldn't open the cabinets-Pastor's wife loved it & got some herself-it worked-but, not with this particular set of 2 year old twins.

These are pointless! My one year old was able to open the cabinets within 10 minutes of them being installed. They allow the cabinets to open too far so he can get his whole arm in the cabinet and dig around/grab things and he can easily pull on the latch allowing the cabinet to open. All these do is very slightly slow him down.

I installed these in our new home 4 months ago. At least six of the smaller latch piece have already broken. To put this in perspective I had latches in my old house that had lasted over three years with no breakage at all. Save yourself a lot of rework and do not install this product.

Design flaws galore!! The screw heads are too small for the plastic pieces so even after they are screwed in and secure, once the drawer/cabinet is opened the plastic piece flies off! Also even though pieces are lined up properly they are not strong enough to stop the drawer/cabinet from being opened.

I installed just one latch on my cabinet door, and the latch would engage before opening maybe 2 out of 5 times. Even when engaged, they could easily be pulled open with slight force (even a baby could generate enough force). It seems like the lip on the catches is not nearly big enough. I'll be returning these, as they don't seem even remotely safe enough.
