My nephew has been a Star Wars fan since he was 2 years old, he's 13 now. He assembled the lightsaber by himself, all that I had to do was install it on the wall for him. It's easy to assemble (a 13 year old can do it!) and it works as described. He's happy and so am I.
The plastic is a bit thin and can easily be broken if mishandled. It would have been nicer if the lightsaber was bigger, the light isn't very bright.

Not as bright as the picture shows, too small, and difficult to assemble (some parts had to be shaved or cut to make them fit). Otherwise its a neat conversation piece.

I do not recommend this product. First of all the demo video shows a child putting it together, sorry, unless you have a child prodigy, there is no way a child could put that together. Second, the blade part does not securely attach, it is loose and won't tighten. Third, the remote doesn't turn the lightsaber on, you have to manually turn it on and hold the button down for a long while for it to work. I was going to return it to the store, but they will only give store credit for online purchases, and it is too much of a hassle to mail it back.

This product is a piece of ....; The on/off switch turned on but wouldn't turn off. The remote control would not work. Took it back and got a new one and that one didn't work either. Cheap plastic. Not worth $1.99 let alone [$] I will never buy an uncle milton product again.

I bought this for my 3 yr old son's bedroom. He's a budding Star Wars fan and he thought the light saber was super cool. It it a great little night light. It has a remote control with a one touch button that my 3 yr old can easily operate. This was very easy to put together. I did not mount this to the wall using the screws included, I used some command stick tape from some extra hooks and it worked perfectly.

My son received this for Christmas last year and he loves it. He is now 8, but still scared of the dark. This room light has been perfect for him. He has turned it on EVERY NIGHT. We haven't needed to change the batteries yet. Although made of plastic, it has held up for us and looks great with his Star Wars bedding. I gave it four stars because it does seem a little fragile even though we haven't had any problems.
