This is a really cute potty seat and my son loves it because of the buttons. However, the buttons on this seat don't last long at all. I bought one, the buttons worked for 2 days and broke. I exchanged it for a new one and the second one did the exact same thing. Could be a really great seat if they would fix this issue.

All boys have to learn how to aim and you have to teach them to use their finger to point it in the correct direction. You have to help them. The last potty we had - had a high back but nothing to catch the urine that leaked through to the floor. This one does! The step stool is inverted underneath and catches the urine (if it leaks through) so you don't have to clean the floor too! Sometimes the urine pools on the back top of the potty (that's when he's hasn't learned to aim or he is aiming there on purpose). Wipe it before they decide to sit in it too. He loved the talking buttons which got him interested in going potty to begin with but they broke the first week. Now I read books to him but he still tries to make the buttons work. I'm just glad I don't have to clean the floor too!

Initially, we loved this potty for our son who loves reading and was learning to potty, but after the first two days the buttons had trouble playing the story--especially "frankie fish's" button, which he liked more because it says "Hip Hop Hooray". Very disappointing. The other problem we encountered was that the so-called guard wasn't high enough to keep it going into the potty, which caused there to be puddles forming on the surface of the chair and on the bathroom floor. We found out our son does better with a toilet insert that has a higher guard. This potty chair served it's purpose for the time, but was somewhat of a frustration for my husband and me.

So far, my dd loves using this potty. We just started seriously potty training 2 days ago and she has used it successfully to pee in twice. Prior to buying this chair we were using a cushion potty seat on top of our regular toliet. She would mainly want to go to the bathroom just to play with the toliet paper. We have placed her new potty in whatever room we our playing in so she has immediate access and a visual reminder. She loves to sit and read her froggy book and press the buttons to hear the story. As an incentive to start using the potty, I let her pick out her own potty, and this is the one she chose. It's a little pricey compared to the other potty chairs, but in my opinion, anything to get her excited about potty training is worth the extra $.
