Bought this as a gift for my son after my wife suggested it and he showed some interest while I was shopping online. I told him about the "light up" keys and he while we browsed different keyboards he kept asking if they had the light up keys. He was excited Christmas morning when he received this - so was the wife!

Had it setup in no time and playing - not playing good, but none of us has had any classes. The keyboard is good to learn the included songs, but it's mainly by memory. It breaks it down into "phases" and "parts". Phases are portions of the song, parts are right hand, left hand and both hands together.

The display on the keyboard shows you which fingers to use on the lighted keys (more of a suggestion as the book mentions). During "lessons" it will announce the finger (1-5) and the key lights up. The song book is included and has a "ranking" to use - ranking songs from easy to complex.

You can change the instrument sound, tempo and probably a slew of other things once you get use to it. I'm still learning. The manual is easy to follow. This will not teach you to "read" music sheets unless you are good and learning by doing - i.e. you follow the music sheet while watching which keys light up.

I still have not plugged in the keyboard to a laptop/pc via USB but may try that soon. A USB cord is not included but I may have an additional one laying around. If you plan on buying one for the keyboard make sure you get the right type.

It does include an AC adapter so you can plug it in and start using it right away.

I am glad my son continues to show an interest in it and is still playing on it - he will sit there and sing while hitting keys, not the perfect way to play but it's nice to see him showing an interest in something for more than a day or so - he's 4 1/2 yrs old. Of course I've learned the right hand sequence for twinkle twinkle and the wife is learning also :)

My 10 yr old daughter loves this keyboard, great for a beginner just learning. Only complaint is the sheet music holder doesn't support the book very well.

The product arrived at our door in the packaging it comes in as others have mentioned. I feared the worst as I could hear a rattle. My 4 year old Grandson opened it up a week later and it's working just fine!

got this for my 10 year old for her Birthday, she loves it, the keys lighting up is helpful as she is trying to learn to play the songs, would buy this one all over again, also can play by batteries, great to take for parties or even a wedding, as the wedding march is included.

My husband and I got this for our 6 year old daughter at Christmas and she loves it! I like that it has different levels of teaching and she'll be able to use it for years to come!

Product was as described. Price was great! Toys R Us packaging for shipping was not acceptable. Item is a Christmas gift and arrived at the door in the store box with a big picture of the keyboard on the front. Hole in the box from shipping. Hopefully it works Christmas morning. Store pickup would be better for these types of items.

Love that the keys light up for beginner piano players! And,the adapter comes with it!

Item was shipped in the original box. The box was beaten up & torn! Wish I would have picked it up in the store!

i bought this for my kids to knock around on. To my surprise this keyboard sounds great, and has a ton of sounds and features. Even more to my liking is that both my kids are really learning how to play the piano using the lighted keys and built in lesson features. For me, I like it because it has a USB midi and I can hook it right into my MAC with garage band.

Great keyboard for the price. Plus it comes with power adapter! About time they include this.
