I bought this maze for a 4 year old's birthday knowing he may not have the patience to play with it but hoping he would want to try. The other adults and I at the party kept fighting over who would play with it next and my 13 year old neice wants one for her birthday. The only down side is because the maze is in a ball shape and the ball has to travel on the little path the sides of the path are too short for a small child to maneuver so the age rating needs to be higher, other than that, great game.

Bought it for my 3 1/2 year old. He LOVES this game. I believe this is the first toy that he truly plays with for hours. Within two weeks, he was able to finish the maze. It's a great toy to improve perseverance and patience. Plus you don't have worry about losing a piece of the game :)

I bought this toy for my 6-year-old son, who loves puzzles, for Christmas. I don't know who has played it more, me or him! It was a huge hit all around. Grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles couldn't put it down. It's very addicting! Awesome toy for all ages.

I bought this for my 5 and 7-year old kids. I should have bought one for myself. It's very easy to start, but a definite challenge to finish. My kids and I love this maze. After we beat this one, I will buy the next level.

Great toy. Gave the Rookie version as a gift to our almost 4-year-old and it was a little old for him but he grew into it within a few months. His 8 year-old friend likes it, too, and it wasn't too easy for him at first. We knew there would be a risk of breakage if dropped on our hardwood floors and after 6 months it finally succumbed. The casing broke open and although it is still playable, the shell is impossible to put back together correctly. The 4 year-old has learned a lesson in how to better take care of toys and it has kept his attention probably longer than most other games that he has around so we will be replacing the broken one for Christmas.

Love this toy! My 6 year old plays it all the time. Even my two year old tries to play it. You have to use your brain with this toy which I love!! My son takes it in the car with him now instead of his DSI!! I would recomend this toy for any child 6 or older. Adults will love it too...it just gets a little frustrating sometimes!!

My daughter really likes this toy. I purchased the Rookie and the Epic Perplexus balls and the shipping department stuffed them in a box that was too small. The side of the box was bulging and there was no cushion between the toys and the box. The product boxes were torn when the toys arrived. I would never purchase these toys in the store if the product box looked this bad. I will never buy from ToysRUs.com again. I was very lucky that they toys themselves were not broken. I was very disappointed.

I bought this for my nephew who is a bright 6 year old. I worried that this 'rookie' model would be too easy, but I was happy to find it was perfect! He was able to enjoy it without too much frustration. The whole family loved it. I don't think it's appropriate for a 4 year old however, I'd recommend 5-8 as the appropriate age range. (I'm a primary school teacher.)
