This thing lasted 2 days in my house. The static is so loud it woke me up. It only runs on 3 AAA batteries so it lasted only one night and 1/2 a nap the next day. Thank god my son is 2 and I only need it to hear him if he wakes up over the air units.

We bought this monitor for our second child because we bought a different Safety 1st monitor for our first child that works very well. Unfortunately this monitor has been terrible. The static is extremely loud, and we can barely hear the baby's cries over the monitor. We actually have an easier time hearing the baby's cries over our first child's monitor, which is located in another room across the hall from the baby, with a closed door in between. Simply tipping the monitor forward causes interference and the lights to come on. We do NOT recommend this monitor. It was a waste of money.

I had read most of the negative reviews about the static but I decided to give it a shot. Yes, there is static indeed, but honestly it's not that bad. I only use it at night and I turn down the volume to as low as I can so I don't hear the static when I'm in bed. The monitor receives noises REALLY well, I can hear the baby loud and clear when she wakes up, even at such minimum volume.

There are 4 available channels, so those who had issues with interference and the lights turning on were probably not matching the channels between the two.

It gets the job done and I expect nothing more from the price I paid.

The static is extremely loud. I can barely hear my children but I can hear the static loud and clear. Do not recommend!!

I needed to return the product because it was a duplicate.I went to the Willowbrook store to return it and they did not want to give me my money back due to lacking a reciept. I had printed off all the emails that had been sent to me. He informed me my choices were to call an 800 # and then go to a post office and mail it back or get an in store credit minus the tax. I left and went to the FM 1960 and I-45 store and was able to get a full refund with out a hassle with the same paper work that had been emailed to me at the time of purchase. I will not shop at the Willowbrook store again.

This monitor is terrible. There is so much static. I can't hear the baby over the loud static. There is only a wall and three feet separating the receiver and monitor and still can't get a good signal! I can hear the baby in the other room before I hear a single peep from the monitor! Also the receiver eats away at the batteries within a day.

There is some static with this monitor, but we've had it almost a year and it's never prevented me from sleeping or hearing my daughter. It takes 2 minutes to set up and I've even taken it outside to do yard work while she was sleeping. It's not a great monitor, but it does exactly what it promises for the price. If you want better, spend more money.

worst monitor EVER. I got this to last until we got a nicer one and its absolutely unusable. The static is so intense that you cant hear anything else and is awful to listen to, no matter if you use the AC or batteries or change channels. Also it gets horrible feedback even with the receiver on the other side of our house with a walk-in closet and bathroom between it.
We did however find a good use for it! It makes a great portable white noise machine that helps calm our son to sleep haha! So its not a total bust.

I wanted to use this product to replace an old sound monitor that I have had for two years now. I was excited to use this one since its made by Safety1st and I own their car seats. The monitor does not work properly even once we figured out how to use all four channel configurations. There is either too much interference in my area suddenly or it just doesnt work. The range claims to be 600ft but it doesn't work 12ft from the base. Unless I'm speaking loudly into the monitor you can't hear anything and the static just overwhelms any noise comning from your child. Bottom line, buy something else!

We don't have any issues with the sound quality or the range. However, it EATS batteries. We bought rechargable ones and I have to recharge them about every other day... and we keep it plugged in at night. Its only on battery power for about 2 hours a day maybe when we're in the living room. If you don't want to spend a ton, and can keep it plugged in, go for it, but if you want to be able to walk around with it, get something else.
