We've had this monitor almost 4 months and we love it! I understand the frustration about the battery dying in other reviews, but I think it would happen no matter which monitor you bought with excessive use.

We leave the base plugged in at all times anyways so it has not been a problem for us. It has loud volume and I just link it onto my shirt when needed. I would recommend! Plus, the price was great especially with a 20% off coupon!! :)

Bought these in late 2011 but found out they were made in 2009. Although it's a decent monitor with good range, the batteries wouldn't hold a charge and had to be replaced after 1 year. Now the problem is that they won't turn off when charging and one monitor won't turn off at all. No parts available so they are junk now. Graco sent me something for $20 off but I don't think I'll buy another grace product...even with the $20 rebate.

We were gifted a graco monitor at our baby shower and within one week the nursery unit stopped working. We couldn't recharge the battery, the unit was dead. We called graco to replace the nursery unit and we received it within a week however, our new problem... the nursery unit didn't sync up with the two parent units. Do yourself a favor and bypass this product.

I thought this was a great product...We didn't have all the issues with it going out of range all the time. We even brought it out to the fire pit with us about 1/2 an acre away. Our daughter is 3 years old now and the batteries are definitely dead and we leave the monitor on the plugged in base 100% of the time now, but what do you expect after several years of use? We're having another baby next month and we're going to be purchasing another of the same monitor. I can't find any other with the range this one has, and we were very happy with it.

This product seemed to work initially but would cut out and stop working during the night pretty quickly and this problem has continued. We've had the monitor for 4 1/2 years. The batteries stopped holding a charge more and more until they don't hold a charge at all. The monitor must be on the base at all times and will stop working if it gets slightly bumped. Finally buying a new monitor and will NOT be buying a Graco monitor.

And in reference to the person who said that the bad reviews were most likely customers not knowing how to use the product, I can say that we know how to use the monitor - these problems are not our fault. To have SOOOO many bad reviews complaining of the same problem can only be a problem with the product.

i have had this monitor for about 10 months and i have finally called the replacement plan. thankfully the person who purchased this for my shower added it. within the first couple times it would just stop working in the middle of the night. i would reset it and it would work for a few days and do it again. i can never leave the floor she was on w/o it constantly beeping and say i was out of range let alone step outside. Just recently it is constantly saying it is out of range. and the monitor is only a room away from the receiver. That was enough for me. Luckily like i said i had the replacement plan so i will be getting the money back for it.

but i will say this was the model before this one now selling. i do not think i will be buying this newer model. i will go with a different brand this time.

I bought this product 5 yrs ago and I loved it. I like that you can always hear whats going on in the babies room. And yes here and there a there is a beep saying its out of range or so when its not but to me it just shows its doing its job in warning you so you can check on your child. The only down fall is the batteries are now dead and it cost to much to replace them ($46 buying and shipping). So me and my Husband went to look at a new monitor and we bought the Motorola audio monitor and we are now taking it back, I don't like that you can always hear in the room, you will only hear if there is a cry or a lound noise(I like to hear everything going on) and also if there was every a power outage the baby room monitor will not say on because it does not have batteries for back up only the Parents monitor. Nice features just bad design. So we are Buying this product (Graco Imonitor Vibe) because we really liked the older version.And I am sure I will love it.

Don't waste your money on this monitor. Thank god my son sleeps on the same floor as we do cause at least once a week the monitor will just quit. It has nice features but doesn't do the job it's meant to do.

I am very upset about this monitor. Just like a previous comment I saw on here, I went to bed with it working fine and woke up 8 hours later and it had just stopped working. I am very upset about this because I went into my 6 month old's room and could tell she had thrashed about in her crib because no one came in when she was crying. It was very upsetting. This monitor is clearly not dependable.

We bought the older version of this monitor over 5 years ago to use with our first child. It still works great, both parent units still have great range and no static. I will say that in the past 2-3 years, the battery life is no longer good, the parent units need to stay on the bases, but we only use for overnights for our 2 year old, so this is not an issue for us. For the price, this monitor is very reliable, great range and sound quality.
