To start with, this turtle is cute, easy to use, well-made. I've been using it almost every night for 7 months and it's still going strong. I also love the auto-shut off to conserve battery life.

I'm also pretty sure my son loves bathtime almost solely because of Turtle (it's official name in our house). When he was an infant, he would just watch the turtle float around the bathtub. He then first started grabbing for objects to try to get to turtle, and I first saw him use his hands and feet together when he would stop turtle with his feet and grab it with his hands. Last week, he was grabbing for turtle and ended up sitting up in the tub for the first time.

When I put my son in the tub, it's the first thing he goes for, and turtle goes right in his mouth (apparently turtle is a good teething toy too). My son will watch other toys float, but he never gives up holding turtle until the end when I have to ask for turtle back.

I'm not sure if it's the colors, the texture, the spinning, but Turtle makes bathtime special for my son. I like its usefulness and that I can tell it's not going to fall apart in his mouth. I'm going to buy this for anyone I know who is having a baby!

My experience with this digital temp tester was not good - it never worked. Always said 92 degree's, we placed it in HOT HOT water and really COLD water - always said 92. I am taking this back and getting a different tester.

We got this item as a gift when our son was born and it was wonderful!! It lasted for about 2 years and then it died. The light indicating if the bath water is hot, cold, or perfect is easy to read as is the temp. window. The temp window never got fogged up either if the bath was too hot wich was a huge plus!! We are buying this item again for our second son due in August because we couldnt figure out how to change the batteries in the old one. (the ONLY con we had with this turtle)

We've had this for five weeks and it's already dead. In the early newborn haze, I lost/never saw the instructions (if there were any) so looked to the internet to see if we could replace the batteries. The unit itself doesn't appear to come apart and the website says nothing about replacing the batteries so I guess I have one dead bath turtle. :(
It was cute and easy to use while it lasted, but five weeks? Really?

This thermometer works GREAT! It says what temperature the water is but also has a little yellow (cold), Green (perfect), and red (HOT) light. I use this little turtle every time I bathe my daughter, and she has never gotten upset about the temperature. And it turns off automatically during her bath so I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off (which i do every time!). Still going strong after 4 months!
