I had the same stroller for my son back in 2007 and decided to get the same one for my daughter this year. Well, it hasn't been improved in 7 years, but became way worse.
* if you had a c-section, forget about being able to carry the car seat for a while. It is super heavy!!!
* the sun shade canopy is way smaller than in the older model and sometimes it makes me wonder why it's placed there anyway. It does not protect from sun at all
* the basket is so small! With one child it wasn't that of a big deal, but we recently were in the park and it was warm. My son took his jacket off and I wanted to put it in the basket not to carry it around, but it wouldn't fit in there unless I took my diaper bag out.
* THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: the leg support now has only 2 positions - up and down. There's NO STRAIGHT POSITION!!! Unfortunately, I only realized it now, when my daughter is 2.5 months and she became too long to be in the stroller with the leg rest being up. You can't make a child comfortable in this stroller! Please see the picture I attached. That is the stroller in 2007. See the leg support parallel to the ground? Not any more! If I knew that, I wouldn't get this system. I had no idea that Chicco would change it to worse. The belts cut so deep in the baby's skin, that they left her with bruises. So, basically, you can't use the stroller without a car seat if your baby is on the taller side until she can sit without assistance. Major drawback!
When I asked at Babies R Us what my options were, I was given "the look" and was told that most customers don't care about leg support and that I can just buy another stroller, but they will not take this one back, even though I had a gift receipt (it did expire, because I got the system for my shower a few months back and was using it for 2 months untill my baby grew taller).
Anyway, I will try to contact Chicco, but I want to cry - that is how disappointed I am with what it is left from a great stroller it used to be.

The product was extremely easy to put together. I am a huge fan of the colors and the cushioning on the carseat. The stroller runs smoothly and makes very little sound. I would highly reccomend it.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Zest:

My husband and I bought this travel system for our daughter before we knew she was a girl. I love the gender neutral style. I love how light weight it is. I can fold and lift the stroller into the trunk with ease. It folds and unfolds very easy and fast. I love that the handle bar adjusts to multiple positions so both my husband and I are comfortable to push it. The stroller is very easy to push and turns with well. The carseat instillation couldn't be any easier. We drive a 2013 Camary and a 2005 Jeep Wrangler and it fits well in both vehicles. My daughter loves it and I love how well the belt fits her. I couldn't be any happier with our choice on this. I love how stylish it is as well. We get compliments all the time on the color and style. I would highly recommend this travel system. When it comes time to move up to a larger carseat for our daughter there is no doubt that it will be a Chicco.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Zest:

I got this as a gift at my baby shower for my first child. I love love loved it! Yes, the carrier is heavier than the average carrier BUT I didn't want an average one. Most people's baby carriers that I saw seemed so tiny and frail compared to this one. I felt safe a secure with this. Heavy duty.. comfortable for baby. I just got my 8 month old 17lb boy a convertible seat so we used it for a while. I LOVED the stroller. Someone once even called it a Cadillac of strollers. And it was.. only.. now at 8 months it squeaks! It's so annoying. I feel like too much money was spent on this for it to squeak. Other than that I have loved it. But, we are wanting to have another child soon and I will be getting a different stroller.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Zest:

I LOVE this travel system. We've had it for 6yrs and 2 kids and it's our favorite (we've had 6 strollers in 6yrs).I've tried others to travel and basically just to compare but they don't even come close! I even accidentally backed into it while wheels were locked on stroller (child was not in stroller at the time btw) and after much bending to get wheel straightened (did I mention it is sturdy) it is still as strong as when it was new. It is a bit heavier than others on the market but in our experience heavier means sturdier. Our daughter used it up to age 4 and our son who is almost 3 still uses it. When we have another child we will DEFINITELY be purchasing another Chicco Cortina Travel System to change color (we have the orange one) though this one could tackle 4 more kids. We love the KeyFit infant seat as well. Best in safety..comfort...and...Durability!
