I love this crib. It is beautiful, well crafted, very sturdy. Assembly as expected (meaning you probably need two people)because it's a pretty heavy crib. My daughter is now 18 months, we used a bassinet until she was 2 months and then moved her to the crib. My only complaint is that I am 5'2" and so I can barely reach to lay her down in bed when she is already asleep. It wasn't really much of a problem for me, like I said I could barely reach but I could reach. Now I am 5 months pregnant though and it is getting very, very difficult. Although that has nothing to do with the crib just a side effect of pregnancy when you have a toddler. I can't wait to convert to the toddler bed!!! All in all it is a great crib easy to assemble with two people, very sturdy and it's absolutely beautiful!!!!

We recently received this crib from my mother in law. My husband & brother set it up without much hassle however as they were taking pieces out of the box they noticed they were already scratched. It's a shame that an item that cost almost $500 arrived with imperfections. We are not planning on returning it for one that is not scratched because honestly we just don't feel like taking it apart, repackaging it and exchanging it, especially given that our daughter will be arriving shortly. Overall, the crib seems very sturdy and I love how it converts to a toddler bed and beyond, I just wish that it was packaged better during shipping.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted a crib that would grow with my baby. I saw this crib in store at Babies R Us and liked it immediately. It was one of the sturdiest cribs they had on display. I was a little concerned though when I checked the reviews and saw a few people had problems getting the conversion kit and toddler rail. After speaking with an associate I decided to go ahead and purchase the crib, the matching long dresser, conversion kit, and toddler rail all at the same time just in case there were any delays.

To my surprise the conversion kit and toddler rail arrived in less time than they said it would take. The crib arrived in perfect condition and took my husband less than 30 minutes to assemble. The dresser came fully assembled and was perfect also.

I have to say this furniture is very impressive and looks like we spent a lot of money on it when we didn't. I am so glad I decided to go with this set!

When the crib arrived (X-mas 2012), it had an imperfect finish on the corner of the base. Babies R US quickly reordered the exact piece, to which I exchanged it at the store w/in 72 hrs. Now its a month later & the baby has arrived, enjoying the crib just as much as we are.It's Sturdy, Easy to assemble, Looks like & feels like a Million Bucks$$$$$$. BEST INVESTMENT YET SINCE MY 401K :-)

FYI- its NOT BLACK, more like DARK CHOCOLATE..LOVE IT!

It's beautiful! Easy to clean, easy to put together, and light to carry! I'm 8 months pregnant and helped move pieces no problem. My boyfriend put this together this week for our daughter that's due in about 8 weeks. It's perfect! Only downside is I'm short and it's tall so to reach in and get her is going to be tough til she stands up.

A board (foot board) was gouged, scratched, and had spots of white paint and we discovered this after the box was broken and it was almost assembled. BRU online was no help! They insisted I get a box to return it with a label they would provide. After insisting I could not go through all that they referred me to mfg. They were able to send me the replacement but I had to give my daughter the receipt which I really did not like because it was a gift.

I was impressed with the quality of the furniture in store and the crib that I ordered was just as nice. My husband assembled the crib in about a half hour and it looks great. The standard crib mattress fits snugly. Baby has yet to arrive, but I am sure he will love it! I also purchased a clearance (slightly damaged) version of the matching dresser. Its drawers slide much more easily than most of the dressers I looked at in store.

This crib is absolutely beautiful! It came with all the pieces, nothing was scratched, marked up, or discolored. Was very impressed with how easily it was assembled as well. My boyfriend and I put it together in under an hour. Pieces were lightweight and very easy to carry up the stairs. (We had to build the crib in the room). Once together though it seems very very sturdy!
In love! I had a friend warn me that it does scratch easily (jeans buttons or belt buckles) so she reccommended we get the furniture protection plan, but I have no personal experience with scratching yet!
