I had to help with a few harder parts, but my son is 7, so the age recommendation is pretty accurate. It goes great with the current Ninjago episodes.

Display boxes are pretty flimsy and they didn't even tape the box shut before they shipped it. It was pretty beat up when it arrived. I would have expected to receive the package in some type of shipping box.

          This Lego project proved challenging, but detailed instructions were easy for my 8 year-old to follow. The only frustration came from pieces not fitting tightly together which resulted in a few rebuilds. Great toy for teaching patience and following directions.

                    This was a gift from Santa and it was a big hit! The minifigures are always a big influence on whether or not the Lego set is a good one, and this one was loaded. My 9-year old had it all put together in one day without any help, and it's sturdy enough for light play.

                    Legos are great for kids to learn the importance of organization, patience, and fine motor skills. My biggest criticism of any lego is that they don't contain an inventory of how many of each piece is included in the box. We have dozens of legos and when we gather an old one to donate to charity we have to build it before putting it back in the box in order to know if all of the pieces are there. Then we have to take it apart again to put it in the box.
