Be sure the seat you plan on putting this on has an adjustable headrest. I needed to return the product because the headrests in the backseat of my car are fixed and therefore the mirror could not mount properly.

I was given this mirror by Brica to review it, and I am happy to say that I love it! My little girl is almost 1 and I had not had a mirror for her until I got this. I am now sad I didn't have it the whole time! It is so great to be able to check on her while I'm driving or to talk to her and she can see my face. I do have to say I've had it for a little over a month in the car now and have had to change the batteries already. I don't know if it is the product or my batteries. But other than that, it works great. I love the light at night so I can check on her if she is sleeping. It did take a few trial and error attempts to get it in the right position in my car, but now it's perfect and doesn't move.

We love this product. We have one for our toddler in the car and also her crib. The remote control feature was so helpful for those nights she couldn't get to sleep but we'd already been in the room 8 zillion times. She was used to the soothing music already from having heard it in the car, so it seemed a no brainer to put one in her crib once I had the thought. ;) Now that I'm pregnant again, this was one of our first purchases for the new baby. A of right now, we only have the one for the carseat, but if their times in cribs overlaps we will certainly be purchasing another one for another crib. :)

The light and the music were unnecessary. The light isn't really bright enough to see what the baby is doing and the music is too shrill to bear. We don't use either of those functions. The actual mirror is just fine though. I would suggest just getting the version that is the mirror only.

My 10 month old loves this mirror! I was given this product by Brica to try out a few weeks ago. We already had the standard Brica mirror which we loved, but add the music and light and this product became a must have for car rides. If my son starts to get fussy, I turn the music on and he is instantly quiet. He loves it! Thanks Brica!

Item: Brica Day & Night Light Musical Auto Mirror

What it is: This mirror that attaches to the headrest on the back-seat of your vehicle so the driver can view her rear-facing baby in the rearview mirror. The mirror additionally has a remote control that can be used to play 4 different songs and turn on and off a small light. There are two different volume settings. The light and music player on the mirror require three AA batteries and the remote control takes three AAA batteries.

What it does: Every parent everywhere wants to look at his beautiful baby non-stop, whenever possible, even when driving, and is heart-broken when he looks in the rearview-mirror only to see the back of his baby's carseat right? Right? Ok, so that was only half kidding. While it is certainly great to see your growing bundle of joy, the mirror is useful to keep an eye on her during that dangerous put-everything-in-my-mouth phase. The light and music are both very useful at distracting crying baby (though Im sure that varies by kiddo), thus making long rides just a bit more tolerable.

What We Loved About It: The light has this smoky white cover and soft glow that permits Kiddo to occasionally look directly at it without making dad worry about his eyes. It's also very soothing at night, even without the music playing.

The mirror attaches to the headrest with a sturdy strap, clip, and cloth-wrapped bendable wire. This makes for a variety of angles and the ability to attach the mirror to most any type of head rest.

What We Didn't Quite Love So Much About It: There is one song with extremely high notes in. Will Kid seems to not notice it, parents certainly do. Could have done with out that song. But it's easy to skip with the push of a button so its not that big a deal.

What You May Not Have Considered: Siblings love the idea of remote controlling the baby.... Admittedly it is fun to watch the 3 and a half year old push the button and play music to calm the 6 month old down.

In Sum: At around $20 this is a relatively inexpensive way to get a bit more peace during those long car rides with baby, as well as keep an eye on her as she reaches, grabs, smiles, and learns more about her world. I definitely recommend a getting a mirror for the rear facing car seat, and if you do alot of driving (road trips, or just caught in traffic often), it's worth the few extra dollars for the music and light upgrade.

I think this product if very well made and useful! I like the fact that the mirror is a fairly good size. Makes it very easy to see your baby in the car. The only downside to this mirror is the fact that the light is not all that bright so it really doesnt help too much to be able to see baby at night. I would buy this product for friends!

I wanted to have a mirror with a light in our car so that I could check on my infant when driving at night. We take road trips pretty frequently, so I like having a mirror that makes checking on our little girl at night easy! The remote is really handy - it's on our sunshield. Having the music is a plus, but not really needed. The music is a little eerie, but I think it's intended to be more soothing than upbeat. All in all, it's been great to have!

I purchased two suction type mirrors that were very cheap and you get what you pay for. The stupid things wouldn't stay put to save my life and I threw away the receipt so that was money down the drain. I didn't even think to research a mirror with a light. My intention was to find a toy that I could attach to her car seat handle to light up at night w/o having to drive with the car light on. I did get this mirror, but purchased from another store for seven dollars cheaper. I drive a large SUV as well (Infinity QX56) and I do not have a full view of my baby because there is no way to angle the mirror. At least none that I've been able to find as of yet. The music is great, the light is adequate and the remote is genius! Some have complained that the light is too dim but I just wanted some light so my daughter wasn't in complete darkness. That coupled with the music keeps her content. Also, I liked the fact that it was plain black/grey. It blends perfectly with my interior.
