Ive recently purchased this carseat. It looks and feels great (very cushiny). It is heavy by itself without the baby in it. The canopy is small. Maybe Im the only one who is having this problem, but did anyone notice that the level is not right.Ive tried many surfaces, with and without the baby and it just wont level. The other thing that is annoying is the ball inside the level. When moving the carseat,driving, walking etc, all you hear is that ball rrrr,rrr,rrr.

If you have the stroller as well, which is awesome and light, this product is very useful. For starters if you take out the car seat from the car and do not want to haul/carry it around retail stores,since the car seat becomes heavy after a while, you can definitely attach it to the stroller without the bassinet, which is quick, easy, and adjustable.

I havent had my baby yet but she'll be here in about a week so I've been riding with my carseat in the car in case I go into labor soon... I chose this carseat I picked it for the safety and the style. I loved the option of the color swap canopy and the travel system. I bought the Monroe stroller as well. First, the pros: The color swap canopy is very simple to swap out. The JJ Cole website has an instructional video but I was able to do it by reading the instructions. The carseat is very stylish and very user-friendly. It is easy to figure out. The carseat is very stylish. It looks even cuter in person than it does in pictures. It feels very sturdy and is made of soft, comfy materials. It features the LATCH system which makes it very simple to install once you figure it out (I have never installed a car seat so it took me a bit and I had to read the manual but once I figured it out it was simple). It has a rebound bar. The handle bar is soft which would be more comfortable on your arm than some others that are too hard. Lastly and most importantly, it has great safety ratings!!!! Now for the cons...it is bulky...I drive a compact car (Toyota yaris sedan) and the passenger seat has to be moved forward very far for it to fit correctly. It's not a problem if I'm in the passenger seat (I'm 5'2) but if I'm driving and my husband is sitting there it is not practical because his knees are hitting the dashboard (he's 6'2). I haven't tried it without the base yet to see if it fits better that way but it's pretty redicilous to be inconvenienced without a base (or LATCH system) because of its bulk. I've also read other reviews about its weight being heavy. I don't think it's that heavy. It's sturdy but I don't mind because the safety ratings are really good and it seems very secure to me. The canopy is not very large. It seems it would be better if it were a bit bigger. Sometimes the carseat gets stuck on the base and on the stroller. The last time this happened I read reviews on the first years via i470 because that is the type of car seat and base that this is and apparently it is a common issue. My husband and I finally got it off of the base and after watching the latches as we pressed the release on the carseat we figured out that sometimes one of the latches doesn't unlatch all the way. This happens when you press unevenly on the release...so it's just a bit finicky. If it gets stuck, you have to try to press evenly on the L and R side of the release and both latches should fully release. I don't think this is a problem with all of them or everytime. It's annoying and I may really hate how finicky it is once my baby gets here but for now I think we've figured it out so it shouldn't be a problem. Other than those things, it's a great car seat and travel system. It is very user friendly (although the release can be finicky).

Its a good sturdy car seat. However, I have the JJ cole broadway stroller that goes with it and its impossible to take the car seat out of the frame. I feel like ill be shaking my baby to put her in car from the stroller. Also, I cannot, for the life of me, figure how to install it. With other car seats it was a breeze.

What a great car seat. We got it as a back up for a more compact one and now use it exclusively. It's very safe, soft, sturdy and comfy. My son outgrew the other seat in less than 3 months. You can adjust it along with your baby's needs. We took the seat padding out already since my boy was getting too big and was a bit snug and uncomfortable in it. I wish I got the stroller to go along with it. You will love it if safety and comfort are on top of your list.

Just recieved my car seat it looks great, I love the look, it is pretty bulky but since my baby will be in it for awhile I think its a great size as she grows into it, I have not used it yet so I will let you ladies/guys know how great it is after my Princess finally gets here in 3 months.

I got the Newport car seat and the Broadway stroller. The car seat easily snaps into the base of both, exactly how I had hoped. I like that both pieces are a neutral black but you can buy the canopies in different colors to make it more unique or just to change it up. The only thing I am hoping is that they sell an extra base separately so my husband and I can each have a base in our cars.
