Detach the animals from the castle by snipping the threads, giving your little one the option of playing with each one individually. When playtime is over, unzip the clamshell door and store the animals inside. This is a wonderful way to make learning fun for the youngest children.

Sandcastle flattens. Would not recommend

The sandcastle playset started flattening out right after I took it off the cardboard packaging. 2 months later and it is positively flat and won't stand up on its own - it has to have help. Very poor design for the price I had to pay. The only reason I gave it a 1 star is because the stuffed sea creatures are still playable.

I was a little disappointed initially when I opened the box, because I actually ordered the coral reef playset, which is similar. But this sandcastle is so cute that I would find it difficult to send it back for an exchange. It has not been kid-tested yet; so saved a star for that. Also, the sandcastle tips forward a bit which may interfere with play, and I thought there might be velcro spots to attach the ocean creatures to the sandcastle.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
