My 5 month old son loved this toy in the store, So needless to say we bought it!!! But when we got home and attemped to put it on his slay bed crib we found that the straps are not made to fit slay bed cribs! Very disappointed in it!!!

My wife and I bought this product for our three-month-old to try to help him make the move from a bassinet to his crib. We initially sent it to daycare with him and it worked so well, we bought a second one for his crib at home!

About the only downside to the product is that the remote does not work very consistently, but everything else about it is outstanding. The characters and motion hold our son's attention, the music is excellent and the automatic changes to the volume help lull our son to sleep.

We would hould highly recommend this product to anyone looking for crib accessories.

My 4 day old loves this! The ocean sounds are great and he loves to stare at the light. He usually falls asleep real fast when I turn it on. I like how it stays on for 25 minutes. I do wish there was a time adjustment option, for like 5, 10, 20 minutes. Also, the volume is kind of loud, since it's right in the crib. Wish there was more of a volume adjustment too. Overall though, awesome!!

We had an older model Fisher Price aquarium for our older child and it was a lifesaver, so were excited to upgrade to this Baby Einstein for our new baby. She has loved it...us, not so much. The biggest selling point was the remote -- which didn't work consistently and we finally gave up on. Per other comments, it is very bright and loud, but we dealt with that by taping a gauze pad over the speaker. It took a long time for the baby to learn how to push the start button on her own -- it is small and not easily accessible to little hands. The last straw however is that it goes through batteries very quickly, the battery pack is difficult to access, and when the batteries get low, it shuts off automatically with no warning - often in the middle of the night when the last thing you want to be doing is getting out a screwdriver and replacing batteries. We are going to pull the old school Fisher Price fishes out of storage.

I *LOVE* this thing... my daughter is absolutely enchanted by it. She happens to love ocean waves and has fallen asleep to it since she was born. She is almost 11 months now and she STILL loves it! It's kind of a pain to replace to C batteries (requires 4) but worth it. When it lights up and the sea animals move while it plays music, my daughter is just tickled. Plus there's a big button on top--when my daughter wakes up in the middle of the night (rare but it happens), she pushes the button on top that turns on a light so she can see.

I have never gotten the remote to work right, but my daughter knows how to turn it on and off and so we pretty much never needed it...

In any case, I really think this was one of the best investments we made in picking out baby items before she was born!

I love this soother, and so does my two week old. She loves to watch it and it really puts her to sleep. Love it and it plays great music. The water effect it puts out is great! It gives out a really under water feeling. The little creatures are adorable as well and it is really done well. Great adition to my baby's nursary.

This is a great toy! My 2 month old baby girl loves it! She stays in her crib much longer. She enjoys looking at the lights and moving fish and she loves the music. The strap seems very safe and secure. Romote control is a great feature.

My son is 5 years old and has had difficulty sleeping since the day he was born (common for those with Williams Syndrome). He also has sensory processing disorder. Even though he is 5, and still sleeps in a crib (finds comfort in a small enclosed crib with pillows and blankets), he falls asleep by watching the visuals and listening to the calming music. Initially I questioned whether I should ask my MOL to purchase a baby crib toy as a Christmas gift, but she was happy to do it b/c she knew he would enjoy it. No he is not a "baby", but he has a disability, loves music, and using a crib toy to help Johnny sleep is better than giving him Melatonin or taking him for another sleep test. This crib toy, like many others, would be a great motivator for children with autism-to be used as intended for, or to just play with. I worked at a therapeutic day school for children with autism, and toys like this one worked great as a "wait" toy or a toy to play with between trials. We taught an 8 year old boy with limited verbal skills to say "I want toy" with one that was similar to this.
If it is "too loud", as one mother complained, simply cover the speaker with tape, if you trust that your child would not locate and pull it off. Seriously? We have many other toys louder than this one that do not even allow you to adjust the sound, not to mention the toys that don't even have an on/off switch.

We got this for our 11 month old for Christmas and I have to admit that she really loves it! That being said, I'm a bit disappointed with the product. It uses up batteries extremely fast (and 6 C batteries every 2-3 weeks gets a bit expensive if you ask me). The other problem I have with it is that it's too easy for my daughter to turn on. On the one hand it's nice she can soothe herself if she wakes up in the middle of the night, but it often wakes me up too and drains the batteries even faster.
