It claims the engine is die-cast!

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Die-Cast Engine - Den:

We have purshcased several take and play engines for our son. Overall we have been pleased with the quality. But upon purchasing this engine we were unsatisfied. It had more plastic than we expected. We wanted a toy that was equal to the others. I hope this is not the way of the future for Thomas.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
