I have a 2 year old and a 4 week old. My 2 year old LOVES standing in the back and the front seats the car seat very well. When I tried it out in the store, I had my friend's daughter with me. So we had 60lbs worth of children in it and it steered and maneuvered AMAZINGLY. You would never imagine there was truly 60lbs worth of children in it.

Yes the storage area is difficult to get into a little bit, but I don't have to move my car seat to get in there, just ask my son to stand up and I get in just fine.

If I had to pick one flawed feature, it would be the parent tray. I wish it was a bit bigger and the cup holder wasn't so flimsy.

But with all the pros of the ease of maneuvering, and smooth ride, I'm completely in love with this stroller.

I have a '02 Ford Escape and with even having 2-10" subwoofers in the back, this stroller fits, you just have to take off the snack tray in the front.

I spent far too many hours researching a stroller that would work for our family needs and budget. By the time my 3rd comes, we'll have 3 under 3 (my oldest will be 6 months away from his birthday), we rely almost completely on the bus and the stroller (a rented car once in a while) and my husband is a student and working only part time (so no $700 stroller for us). This one seemed compact, light, and had a few different seating options. Against another comparably priced stroller this naturally looked like a good fit, but I wish we could take it back.

Pros:
Several different seating options (we've used only two so far since we don't need the car seat)
Stands on its own when folded
Folds and opens one handed
Relatively light
Fairly maneuverable on straight, flat roads
Small (length and width) for a double stroller
2 canopies, one for each seating area (my husband found this especially good)

Cons:
Front seat is very shallow (my 2 1/4 year old looks very uncomfortable and he's only average height for his age)
The brake is VERY hard to lock into place (sometimes it's 3 times, plus rolling it back and forth, to get it to lock)
Cheap, plastic wheels with no grip (stroller slides easily on the bus, even when the brake is locked)
Back/Upper seat only has one position (cannot be more or less reclined)
Hard to maneuver with weight in it or when steering on any kind of incline

For the price ($100 more expensive in Canada), this stroller feels cheap and I expected much more bang for my buck. I give it two stars only because my oldest likes sitting on the bench seat right now, otherwise I would only give it one.

Missing parts and cust service nightmare

By Mom

Comments about Graco Ready2Grow LX Stand & Ride Stroller - Metropolis:

Received carriage after over a week after ordering it, went to assemble it and it was missing parts for the wheels. Customer service was a nightmare at babies r us, they wouldn't send us the parts we had to reorder a whole new carriage even though, they have identical carriage in stock, just not the color we selected but the parts are the same, so we had to disassemble the whole carriage get a whole new one sent and have to reassemble that. My due date was during the time the carriage was being send, so I requested they send it to my parents house considering no one would be at my house due to me being in hospital and they gave me an extremely hard time and told me I would need to contact the shipper to intercept the order and it wasnt guaranteed. Don't have carriage yet but their customer service was a nightmare AGAIN!

Comments about Graco Ready2Grow LX Stand & Ride Stroller - Metropolis:

I was looking for a stroller to fit my 2 & 5 yr old. After much searching I decided on this stroller. I use the sit and stand position & it is perfect for taking them with me on my walks. I love how the sunshades are adjustable. My 2 yr old is short so his feet don't sit on the foot rest but I do see how it's not in the perfect position for his feet to rest comfortably when he gets taller. The seat is not as deep as the umbrella stroller we have but again because he is short, he fits in it fine for now. I have no problems with the back seat for my 5 yr old. I only use the basket for our water bottles, mail, keys & sometimes a blanket. I see some complaints about a big diaper bag not fitting & I can see how you would have to take the children off before trying to put in or take out a big bag. If I need to take a bag with me I would just use a small bag. It folds up easily, is not super heavy and fits in the trunk of my toyota corolla. Also, it was not hard to put together. I would definitely recommend this for someone with young children.

We just got this item as a gift and love it. It's very lightweight and turns well. Even with an almost 3 year old and a new born it's easier to manuever than the Chicco stroller I had that was just beastly.
People who complain are just nit picky.

It works perfectly for my 7 month old and my 2 year old. I'm not sure if I'll like some of the riding options for when they are older. It boasts that it has many riding options, but unfortunately one of them is not where both children can be seated facing forward as I thought they would be able to. It also does not fit in my car truck, only in our Jeep. It does not fold up quite as compact as I anticipated so it takes up quite a bit of space.

Comments about Graco Ready2Grow LX Stand & Ride Stroller - Metropolis:

I was so excited to get this stroller for my 18 month old and 6 week old. The front seat is a bit shallow for my small 18 month old, but as long as you use the straps to keep him in, it's fine...the foot rest doesn't quite come out far enough but he could still rest his feet on it. I can see why the seat would need to be shallower though, so that you can have easy access to the storage bin when both kids are in the stoller. It was really easy to push and maneuver. I was surprised at how easy it collapsed and came apart - all with the turn of the handle and one hand!!! I was also pleased with how light it was for a double stroller. All double strollers are going to be big, but I was impressed at the compact size of this one. Am definately happy with the purchase and would definately recommend it to make life much less hectic.

This stroller is a great stroller! I loved the double seats with the head padding. It was easy to steer. The sit and stand part was great for my 4 year old. I also love that the upper sit can face me. HOWEVER, I drive a Chevy Traverse. When folded, this stroller would not fit behind my third row of seats even if I took the sunshades off. It was too wide. I wish Graco would have made it more compact when it was folded. I had to return it and purchase a Baby Trend Sit and Stand which doesn't have as nice of seats. I got smarter and took the display out to my car to try in behind the seats before purchasing it! Toys R Us was more than happy to let me do this, which I appreciated.

Comments about Graco Ready2Grow LX Stand & Ride Stroller - Metropolis:

This stroller is great! I originally bought a high-end running stroller that although I loved, realized that it might not be the best way to spend money right now considering I probably won't use the running stroller all that much. I say that for two reasons... first, because my son is already over 3 yrs old and my daughter is 6 weeks so I don't imagine I'd have to use a double stroller for too long with the 3-year age gap. But... my son is a very busy boy so there definitely are times that I still need to keep him contained in a seat. second, I thought about how it was difficult sometimes to run with just a single running stroller that I thought when am I realistically going to run with the double (answer, I'm not). So.. for those two reasons I thought I would save myself spending the $500+ dollars and go with this for more than half off the higher price. I'm SOOOO glad I did. Not only was it more affordable, but it's more in line with what I need for this next year. It gives my independent 3-year boy the flexibility to sit or stand when I force him to ride in the stroller. I didn't give it 5 stars because:
                - the parent cup holder is a little shallow so if you hit a bump your water bottle can fall out. A little tweak that hopefully Graco will "fix" on future models.
                - Wish there was some type of snack cup/tray that could attach to the stroller for when your child is seated in the rear part.
                - My biggest complaint is that although the storage compartment is a decent size, it's not accessible when you have a child seated in the back and an infant in a car seat resting on the front end. You have to have your older child stand up and you have to take the car seat off in order to access your belongings in the compartment. Total pain! Too bad they didn't make it so the sides of the compartment zippered or something so you can have access to your stuff via the sides rather than from above.
Overall all though I've been so pleased with our purchase. It maneuvers so much better than I expected. It actually rides pretty well and it doesn't feel heavy when I'm pushing it.
I wish the stores carried this Metropolis color so you don't have to buy it online and could therefore use your "in-store only" coupons. Hopefully Babies R Us will start to stock it in the store so you can apply the store coupons.
Final note: you do need a rather large "trunk" to store. Then again, which double stroller doesn't. Something you need to consider if you don't have a lot of cargo space.
