Since 1930, Fisher-Price has been in business to create toys that fascinate and stimulate a child's imagination. Fisher-Price was founded in 1930, hardly the best time to launch a new business as the shadows of the Depression still loomed over American business. Still, Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle combined their diverse manufacturing and retailing experience to create a toy company and confidently brought 16 wooden toys to the International Toy Fair in New York City. The whimsical nature and magical surprises of those first Fisher-Price toys quickly caught on and became the hallmarks of Fisher-Price ever since. Fisher-Price believes in the potential of children and in the importance of a supportive environment in which they can grow, learn, and get the best possible start in life. Fisher-Price supports today's families with young children through our breadth of products that includes GeoTrax, Imaginext, Little People, Laugh and Learn, Thomas the Tank, Thomas and Friends, Elmo, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Sesame Street, Smart Cycle, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Toy Story and other learning toys and pretend play items.

THE VOLUME IS NOT AN ISSUE BECAUSE ITS CONTROLLED FOR TOTS WHO KNOW TO PUT THE PHONE UP TO THEIR EARS! If your child is too young to play with the phone without knowing to put it up to its ears, the volume is low.

My 3 yr old got this toy when he was 2 and he LOVES it! It's awesome for any Unizoomi fan. The keypad is flat with a large sticker. Who cares? My son loves to hear Milli, Geo, Bot, and Umi Car and finally concentrates on it long enough to play the games and follow instructions.

Great for make-believe play. We make up problems in Umi City and use the Umi Phone for rescues from Team Umizoomi! Just get it, it's fun!!!

We bought this phone for my youngest child who holds the phone in his hands about 12 inches from his face. I understand why they have changed the volume on certain toys (like those made to stick on/in the ear) but for my child it makes the toy uninteresting because he can no longer hear it when it is held far away. We bought the Thomas (Train) phone over a year ago and I did the same thing to the Umiphone that I did to Thomas to "fix" the volume. The little pull-tab that changes the volume is the key. I leave the tab inside the phone, measure and cut it just shorter than the hole it slides into so that there is nothing hanging out of the back. If you take a tiny piece of clear packing tape and cover the hole the piece will never come out. My children have been playing with the Umiphone (And Thomas phone for over a year) and the tape has never peeled up, the batteries are still working and the phones sound just as they do in the store. My children are 2 and 4 and play pretty rough and it has held up to both of them so far.

As far as the rest of the phone goes, there are no push buttons as other reviews mention but I'm kind of happy there are no real push buttons because my child has a problem chewing off buttons (phones, remotes, etc). I only wish that there were some more music on the phone, like the theme song. Paid about what I would expect to pay for an electronic toy.

My son loves Umizoomi so I was excited to get this. But he didn't care for it, he would throw it. It is too quiet you can barely hear what they are saying, that is the worst part. And then the phone part is just stickers, no real buttons or anything. I took it back and bought him the look and find umizoomi book and he loves that.

My child carries this phone around all the time. It has the characters voice down perfectly. I love it because it teaches him color match, math and more. It's more than a toy , but to him he's part of the 'Team'!
The only thing that would improve this phone is if the volume were louder. Other than that I'd recommend this toy to anyone who loves nick jr and wants to reinforce learning in a fun way.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Team Umizoomi UmiPhone:

My daughter is a huge Umi fan and loves this phone. She knows how a phone is supposed to work and holds it up to her ear, so she can hear it just fine. As a mom, I'm quite grateful for a toy that isn't loud enough to annoy me as I would have to listen to it all day long. The buttons don't bother me either; my daughter plays with my iphone which doesn't have "real" buttons either.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Team Umizoomi UmiPhone:

We went into our local BRU only to find out that they shipped ALL of their Umi toys to TRU. Luckily, it wasn't too far from one another. Sadly though, all they had were these phones and two plush dolls. I was very disappointed. We ended up purchasing the phone which my son still gets excited over till this day (Umi fanatic). Like another parent, I had to leave the plastic in the volume slot (cut it down to size and taped it down really well) to keep the volume up high. For the price, I can't complain, but my son gets pretty frustrated that it doesn't do more... For example, the 3 buttons on the main screen (Milly, Gio and Bot) are fake and don't do anything. To reiterate, great for the price, but wish it had a little more. Also, the plastics are still impossible to find which is the most frustrating and confusing aspect.

I was very excited to see this since my daughter loves team umizoomi but when I purchased it, I was very unhappy with this product. The buttons are not real push buttons, it's just a big sticker and you just press where the numbers are. When the characters talk, it sounded muffled and raspy, plus if you decided to keep this you would need 3 triple AAA's and also the smaller batteries that you use for watches and you need 4 of those.I think this was way over priced for something that is so plain.I am happier with just the regular toy phones that they sell in the store, at least those have real push buttons...
