Sturdy, solid, build with ease

I ended up with this crib as a "replacement" for the Baby Cache "UpTown" which conveniently has been discontinued and is NOT available, however BRU doesn't tell anyone that when they register for the product (and keeps it listed on their web site despite the lack of availability). That little issue aside, I had planned my baby's nursery around a natural-colored crib and after I settled on this product and got it home I was amazed at how easy it was to put together, how sturdy it is now that it is assembled and how sold all the pieces/panels are, and how solid the whole furniture piece is as a fully assembled product. There was some drama getting the crib home from the store, the box is HUGE and was bigger than the roof of my Volvo cross country station wagon (as a reference....it hung over each side of the car by about 4 inches and overhung the roof rack by about a foot in the front and in the back). Thankfully my hubby was able to heft it up to and secure it to the roof so we could get it home. Once the 6 pieces of the crib were in the house, and I laid out the very conveniently packaged and easily-identifiable hardware, the assembly was a breeze. The directions were clear and concise, the crib was incredibly easy to assemble and I was truly able to do it myself with no assistance from anyone else (except for getting off the floor...). The only one slightly difficult part of the assembly was getting the first two (rear) screws for the mattress support attached to the crib frame, but with the help from a short stool upon which I placed the mattress support so it didn't hang onto the floor, it was no problem. The crib looks great in my baby's room, and will look fabulous when converted to a toddler bed and then to the full-sized bed! As a crib, combined with the Sealy Soybean Everedge mattress, which fits very snugly (there is NO space between the crib rails and the mattress! Great!) this will be the perfect place for my baby to sleep. Overall I'm very pleased with my first crib and crib-assembly experience. I definitely recommend having a full-sized pick-up truck to retrieve this crib from the store with, and two people that are capable of lifting a large, bulky (but not incredibly heavy) object. If you don't have access to a full-sized pick-up truck (or empty delivery van of some sort) I strongly suggest home delivery....it's worth the added cost due to the bulk/size of the packaged crib.

It took 8 weeks, but the conversion rail to turn the bed into a toddler bed finally came in. No problems. Order it along with the bed, don't wait. And get the rail, you'll want it!

Very solid hard wood crib. I had my husband put it together and he's not that mechanically inclined. He had no problems and had it togther in less than 10 minutes. I'm 5'4" and so with the Sealy EverEdge Foam mattress in the crib, I'm reaching a little bit to get to the baby, but I still think it's better this way. 3 different setting so it will move with the baby when she starts standing. I ordered the toddler rails a month ago and still waiting. Order them right away! TRU took off 20% with coupons and another 15% with a new TRU credit card so this is the best way to buy it!

My wife and I bought this crib for our first child. We looked at a bunch of different ones and this one definitely stood out. The quality and hardness of the hard maple wood is great and will resist teeth and fingernail marks unlike other soft wood cribs. We also purchased the matching double dresser which is also amazing. Bottom line, we spent a little extra money than we wanted to but the result was a great, durable and long lasting crib.

We are first time parents and decided spending a little more would be worth it for quality furniture that would convert for future use. This furniture not only looks great but is great quality! It took a while to get all the pieces that we ordered (nightstand and conversion rails were special ordered so they took longer), but it was worth the wait. We love the quality and solid feel of this furniture and plan on having it in our home for years to come!

I brought this crib because it was made in the US, from the second i got this crib home it only took myself and my husband very little time to put the crib together. when i went back to the store to purchase the conversion kit the store said they weren't available. i contact Baby Cache who was so great at assisting me. they said the pieces would be available shortly because they usually wait a month after a collection comes out before they release the conversion kit which is a special order item so I went back to the store and yesterday and was able to place an order..
