      I bought this in the hopes that it would keep my one year old from dumping a bowl or plate of food on the floor. I think the suction cup holds the bowl/plate securely but he instantly realized all he had to do was pick the whole mat up in order to throw the food on the floor. I tried using this 3 times unsuccessfully and probably won't attempt to use it again.

        I bought these to prevent my kids from throwing their bowl on the floor but they don't do a good job at that because they can pull them off so easily. Whati ended up using them for is helping them keep their plate or bowl in place when using a spoon or fork. We use them almost every day.

          At first, I was surprised by how small it was, but its utility is not in keeping your table clean. It keeps the bowl or plate in place during mealtime! It is that simple. Nothing else I have tried can do the same. You can use any plate with it - like our regular Corelle dinner plates - without fear of them falling on the floor.

              The suction doesnt work at all.The first time I place a tommee tippee feeding bowl on it, for my 12 months baby to pick up food and eat. He tried to pull it towards him and the suction broken without any effort. Useless thing.
