My son loves firetrucks. This was about the only one I could find that was age appropriate. He seeks it out to play with. Added bonus is that he loves the balls that come with it too.

I think the pop/ball thing is kind of weird but makes the toy unique. I don't get why a firetruck pops out balls when it moves, but whatev.

The controls are useful because you can turn the whole thing off or you can put it on manual. He's too young to understand that if you press the buttons the truck moves, so we keep it on manual most of the time. He has fun pushing it around and putting the balls in the top. The toy is sturdy and a good size.

My 15 month old got this for his first birthday and he loved it! He still loves it, but it no longer pops out the balls. They won't even roll down to the spring where they would pop out. I'm very disappointed.

This toy is my son's favorite toy! Needless to say we have 3 of them because they keep breaking! The company was very graceous in sending us replacements, however they only work for a couple weeks. They have 2 modes...auto and manual...the auto mode breaks first and then manual usually follows close behind.
