We got this stroller today to replace the Cortina that came with our car seat. The Cortina was way too big for my car's hatchback (Mazda3 in case anyone has a similar car), heavy, and bulky although yes, convenient for popping in the car seat. However after much research, we traded it in for the Liteway. So far, its great.

I literally only had to pop on the wheels and snap on the canopy to set it up, 5 minutes. It is not intuitively easy to open and close however once you do it two or three times, it is simple. Not one-handed but I will gladly trade that for the lightweight joy of this stroller.

To address a few issues I have seen in other reviews: yes, the canopy does have a tinted "window" that lets in light. If it bothers my son I will drape a blanket over it. The canopy is very large and gives a lot of shade, which I love. It does extend a little further than most of the pictures online show. It can also zip off if for some reason you don't want/need it.

Also, yes, the canopy CAN lock into position and yes, you have to unlock it when folding/closing the stroller. If that bothers you, either remember to unlock it before closing, don't lock it into place to begin with (you don't have to), or find another stroller. It doesn't bother me personally.

The basket is handy if you don't need a "Cadillac" to cart all your stuff (we don't, that's why we got rid of the bigger Cortina stroller) and yeah, it turns into a cute little carry bag if needed. I see this being good at like a theme park or airport maybe.

The recline does go flat or several positions in between. The rain/weather boot stores easily under the end of the seat which I think is pretty cool. Its attached so you won't accidentally lose it too. About those straps...they are sewn at the top where the shoulders go. About an inch down, they're also held in place by a little fabric strip but as your baby grows, you CAN adjust. Its hard to explain in writing but it is possible to mess with the straps and "free" them from these fabric strips. I mention this because I've seen other reviewers say the straps are sewn down here. They're not, you just have to fiddle with the whole harness system to free them.

It seems sturdy and easy to steer though I can't comment on how it handles on ALL terrain. Its good for the city, I think, and definitely compact cars or as a second for babysitters or grandparents. I am 5"7 and I think the handles feel good height-wise. Perhaps a tad short for taller (6' and up) folks but then what umbrella stroller isn't?

Lastly, I love the color. Its a very rich jewel tone, what I'd call "rainforest green" accented with a mocha tan color. I personally think you could use it for boys or girls (we have a boy). The fabric seems to be durable and like it would be easy to clean, like most Chicco products

Bought this stroller after my third was a year old, we have purchased many different strollers over the years to fit our needs and I really liked the compactness and lightweight of this stroller. But after less than a year of use the front wheel broke. There is no easy way to clean the seat after a spill. And my daughter outgrew the crotch strap placement before she turned two. I had to adjust all the buckles and it now pulls funny on her legs to buckle her up.
Cup holders where not an issue, we just bought an attachment to go across the back handles.
Of all our strollers, graco single and double, single and double joggers, umbrella type strollers, I liked this one the best but am very disappointed at how well it held up.

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

I just bought this stroller for my 1 year old & i like how light it is. Got it on clearance for $100 so i cant beat that. People gave bad reviews about the straps being too short but I was able to figure out how to make them go longer & it worked out for my son. You just gotta get the plastic things that extend it through the 2 Lil sewed on straps. We'll see how it goes once I start using it more. So far so good.

Baby will outgrown this by 18 months

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

By 18 months the straps were set at the longest length and they are too short. For the price I am disapointed that this didn't last longer.

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

We bought this one month ago and had to return it 3 days later, my son is 26 pounds and the seat belt was tight and we had already loosen it to the Max. I got because a friend of mine had nothing but great things to say about it, it was sturdy and the Capony and recline was exactly what I was looking for but very dissapointed I don't understand how the max weight is 40 pounds?

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

I bought it and I love it. It really easy easy to handle and take your child in especailly if they are asleep. My only concern is that it is heavy so if you are looking for something light to take on a bus, this would not be one to buy.

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

Bought stroller but harnesses don't adjust enough for my granddaughter to fit in so we can't use it now that she is a year old. Way to tight for both straps. Very disappointed.

Excellent stroller!

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

We have loved the Chicco Liteway stroller! We did not get a travel system because we lived in a small apartment, so I loved that we could use this upgraded umbrella stroller even with a newborn. But, like others have said, by about 18-24 months, the straps were too small for our little girl. Now when we use it, I buckle the crotch straps but slide the shoulder straps behind her. I really wish the straps went farther or if you could conver the straps just to a lap belt. Also, I wish I had known the Liteway Plus fit a car seat! Now I'm wishing we had that stroller instead because we are expecting a second! But we really have loved this product and, with the under $200 price tag, I definitely think we got our money's worth - even though it didn't last quite as long as we had hoped.

Best stroller I have ever used.

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

I have had this stroller in a different color for a year and a half now. I have three young children and love all things baby, so I have had many strollers and used many strollers and out of all those strollers this by far has the easiest to use features and maneuvers the best of all the other strollers including much much more expensive ones. It has also held up extremely well considering what my children have put it through. I love the wheels so much I really wish Chicco would use the design to make a double or triple stroller, It would make my life that much easier.

Great at first. Now, at 18 months, not so good

By maddasher

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

Pretty good stroller. Held up well and served the purpose. But, as many other reviewers have noted, the crotch strap is poorly located. So, when your baby gets a bit older(mine, at about 16 months), it will become very uncomfortable. A simple extension of that strap or better placement would have remedied this. For this price, you need something that'll last longer than 18 months. I hope the manufacturer reads this and implements!

Best of all strollers!

Comments about Chicco Liteway Stroller - Juniper:

We went from the Chicco Cortina to the Chicco Liteway when a travel system was no longer needed. I would highly recommend the Chicco Liteway for a compact stroller as the perks are incredible! As it's name implies- it is incredibly light, opens and folds easily while maintaining supurb maneuverability.
